The Whampoa Military Academy was thus established, along with the establishment of the Whampoa Military Academy, there were also a large number of people who changed the fate of the country, what is less known is that the Whampoa Military Academy also recruited a group of female students during that period, these female students were also women who did not let their eyebrows be raised, and then there were several female heroes who could be described as female heroes, among these female students, there were two well-known female heroes, one was Hu Yun, who later became the female division commander of the Red Army, and the other was a well-known heroine Zhao Yiman.

The matter became more and more noisy, Guangzhou democrats and advanced revolutionaries began to discuss and discuss in the newspapers, and finally, Liao Zhongkai said that if the conditions of women themselves were OK, he agreed to recruit female soldiers, in 1926, after Wuhan was captured by the Northern Expeditionary Army, the Wuhan branch of the Whampoa Military Academy was established, and this year, the military academy also recruited the first batch of female students, Hu Yun, Zhao Yiman, and Zeng Xianzhi.
According to the requirements of the time, the military academy was to recruit 40 people, and as a result, more than 3,000 people came to register, which shows that the influence of its revolutionary ideology was very great, and later, because of various conditions, only 195 people were admitted, and 183 people were successfully enrolled later.
After the school started, these female trainees did not engage in special because of their identity, they also got up at 5:30 in the morning, until 9:30 p.m. to sleep, there were military and political classes every day, a total of 8 classes, there was almost no rest time in the middle, at the beginning of enrollment, there were many women who cried their noses, but they all persevered, when the Northern Expedition, these people also took guns to the battlefield, and they performed very heroically.
Xia Douyin rebelled and prepared to overthrow the Wuhan Nationalist Government, the Wuhan Military Academy organized the girls' team into a political company, participated in the struggle, and after Chiang Kai-shek launched the "April 12 Counter-Revolution" in 1927, the Wuhan Military Academy asked these female students to graduate in advance and issued them the certificate of graduation of the sixth term of the Whampoa Military Academy.
After Hu Yun graduated from school, the party organization arranged for her to return to her hometown to engage in guerrillas, when the Pingjiang Uprising, Hu Yun was then the secretary of the Pingjiang County Party Committee, she led the county party committee organs to meet peng Dehuai, and then, they went to Jinggangshan together, in 1931, the Red Eighth Division was established, Hu Yun served as the division commander of the Red Eighth Division, a female division commander, which in the Red Army period, there were only two people, one was Hu Yun and the other was Zhang Qinqiu.
In 1933, when Hu Yun attended the Third Workers' and Peasants' Congress in Xiang'egan Province, she was slandered as an "AB regiment" member, was purged, and was unjustly killed in 1934 at the age of 36, until the Seventh Party Congress in 1945, when the Central Committee officially rehabilitated her and posthumously recognized her as a revolutionary martyr.
After graduating from the military academy, Zhao Yiman went to Moscow to continue her studies, and after returning to China, she was arranged by the party organization to carry out underground activities in Shanghai, Yichang and other places, and after the outbreak of the "918 Incident", she was transferred to the northeast to carry out anti-Japanese activities.
In the northeast, Zhao Yiman wrote her life in capital letters, she led the army to fight against the Japanese army, became a well-known heroine, in 1935, she was arrested for her injuries, in prison, Zhao Yiman was tortured, but she did not have the slightest idea of surrender, in 1936 heroically, only 31 years old.
From Hu Yun and Zhao Yiman's bodies, we seem to be able to see the turmoil of that era, and what we can understand more is that they are fiercely loyal to the country and are willing to dedicate their lives to the cause of the national revolution.
