On December 15, the Information Office of the Hunan Provincial Government held a press conference in Changsha, at which Shang Bin, member of the party group and deputy director of the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, revealed that the 7th Hunan Arts Festival will open on December 20.

Shang Bin said that the Hunan Arts Festival has always adhered to the purpose of "the grand event of art, the festival of the people", and is an important measure to build a cultural Xiang army, climb the peak of art, promote cultural exchanges, promote cultural innovation, and expand the influence of Hunan culture. The 7th Hunan Arts Festival will focus on displaying and exchanging the latest outstanding achievements in Hunan cultural and artistic creation and production in the past three years, sponsored by the Propaganda Department of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, and held in Changsha, Yiyang and Xiangtan. This year's art festival mainly includes the opening ceremony, professional stage art activities, mass cultural activities, the province's fine art calligraphy and photography works exhibition, closing ceremony and award ceremony and other five main activities, the activities will last until January 6, 2022, when tens of thousands of professional and amateur literary and artistic workers across the province participate in literary and artistic performances and exhibitions.

This year's Hunan Arts Festival has a variety of colorful activities, with rich types of participating works, strong representation, distinctive characteristics, and mutual contrast, fully displaying the new atmosphere and new achievements of Hunan literary and artistic creation, and fully demonstrating the new mission and new style of the cultural Xiangjun. Among them, the organizer will select an excellent repertoire as the opening ceremony performance, and the opening ceremony will be held before the performance; professional stage art activities include 29 newly created large-scale stage repertoire exhibitions, 5 newly created small dramas, 25 works, 12 rehearsed classic repertoire performances; mass cultural activities include 8 stage art competitions and 5 excellent works touring. The opening ceremony of the exhibition will be held in the province's fine art calligraphy and photography works exhibition, and no more than 120 fine arts, calligraphy and photographic works will be exhibited, for a total of no more than 360 pieces. The closing ceremony and awards evening program will be composed of wonderful excerpts from the professional dramas (festivals) of this year's arts festival and excellent group literary dramas (festivals).
