Beijing, December 14 (Xinhua) -- A few days ago, the International Olympic Committee, the International Paralympic Committee and the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee issued the second edition of the "Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Winter Olympic and Paralympic Epidemic Prevention Manual" (hereinafter referred to as the "Epidemic Prevention Manual"), which requires that within 14 days before undertaking the task of the Game, the relevant Chinese personnel should be prepared to enter the closed loop.

The requirements include strict restrictions on contact with others for 14 days before the race. This requirement is also applicable to people who have completed full vaccination, as there is still a possibility of testing positive and spreading the virus.

If the person concerned is living at home, the contact should be limited to family members and colleagues, especially in indoor environments. Increased exposure leads to an increased risk of testing positive before the race, which ultimately leads to the inability to take on the work during the race.

Traveling for social reasons is also not recommended (except for work reasons). Unnecessary contact must be reduced and access to confined spaces and places where people gather should be avoided as much as possible.

Within 96 hours before the work of the Olympic-related personnel in China, they must complete two nucleic acid tests, and the interval between the two tests is at least 24 hours. The full vaccination should be completed 14 days before the race.

The "Epidemic Prevention Manual" also requires that the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee personnel who have entered the closed loop work should complete the strengthening of immunization 14 days before the work during the competition in accordance with China's vaccination guidelines.
