Since the 19th National Congress, Beijing Sport University has made all-round efforts to align with the important instructions of the General Secretary and the strategic goals of a sports power, focusing on the Beijing Winter Olympics and the Tokyo Olympic Games, facing the Olympic preparations for participation and the frontier of sports science and technology in the world, adding vitality and injecting impetus to the high-quality development of sports and the Olympic arena.
The majority of teachers and students in the school, with the heart of "the great power of the country", take the lead in fighting and working hard. In the field of hard work, for the glory of the country, "raising the national flag", "playing the national anthem", the champion class as the representative of the teachers and students in the Tokyo Olympic Games and the Beijing Winter Olympic Games won a total of 21 gold, 11 silver and 7 bronze good results; in the field of science and technology to help the Olympic Games deep ploughing, in the selection of materials, sports resistance reduction, sports equipment, physical fitness, injury prevention and treatment, nutritional rehabilitation, motion capture and analysis, psychological adjustment, high-tech video and other fields of wisdom research, a total of 188 scientific research projects, published 132 core papers, published 22 monographs, Formed 69 patents; in the base construction and operation and maintenance support to overcome difficulties, silent dedication, a total of 70,000 square meters of new national team training base, operation and maintenance support of 100,000 square meters. The teachers and students of Beiti interpreted the new era spirit of "mission on the shoulders, struggle with me" with vivid practice, and wrote a chapter of the newspaper that resonated with the same frequency as the times on the journey of a sports power.

Embark on a journey of dreams
In recent years, the school has implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important reply to all students of the 2016 graduate champion class of Beijing Sport University, based on the positioning of "world-class sports university with Chinese characteristics + national high-level competitive sports talent training base", taking the "double first-class" construction as an opportunity to comprehensively deepen the comprehensive reform of "three transformations", transforming from a sports university with summer projects as the mainstay to a sports university with comprehensive development of summer and winter projects, and cultivating talents and preparing for combat services in summer and winter projects. Major scientific research, international exchanges, volunteer service guarantees, Olympic culture dissemination, "driving 300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports" and other fields shoulder the mission and move forward courageously.
Under the unified deployment of the school's "three transformations" comprehensive reform, the teachers and students of the Competitive Sports College interpreted the fighting spirit of "life can have several fights" with sweat and achievements, carried forward the fine tradition of tenacious struggle and courageous struggle, won glory for the motherland, added glory to the Olympic Games, and handed over an excellent report card!
At the Tokyo Olympic Games, Chen Yufei, a student of the 2016 class of the college, soared into the sky and won the gold medal in the women's singles of badminton; Zhu Xueying, a student of the class of 2017, won the gold medal in the women's trampoline, which was the second time in the project after 13 years; Bao Shanju, a student of the class of 2018, and zhong angel, won the gold medal in the women's team of track cycling, achieving the successful defense of the Chinese team in the project... At the Tokyo Olympic Games, the Olympic athletes of the Competitive Sports Academy won 4 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze for the Chinese delegation.

At the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Paralympic Games, Zhou Jiamin, a student of the 2017 class of the college, and Wang Hao, a student of the class of 2018, were honorably selected as the flag bearers of the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Paralympic Games of the Chinese delegation.

Lu Dong, a 2020 student at the Athletic Sports Academy, successfully won the gold medal with a time of 39.54 seconds, and on the podium, Lu Dong could only squat on one leg with his chin and shoulders between the bouquet of flowers, putting himself at the same height as the other two athletes in wheelchairs. This scene was moving and became one of the best memories of the Tokyo Paralympic Games. This squat is both Lu Dong's respect for other athletes and the best interpretation of the Olympic spirit. At the Tokyo Paralympic Games, the competitors won a total of 30 gold, 13 silver and 14 bronze for the Chinese delegation.
The 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, full of dreams and surprises, also carved beyond and breakthroughs. 10 athletes from the Competitive Sports Academy achieved historic breakthroughs in several events. Chu Yuanmeng, a student of the 2018 class of the college, and his teammates won the 15th place in the biathlon mixed relay race, creating the best result in the history of the Chinese team; Zhang Yangming, a student of the class of 2019, ranked 36th with a total score of 2 minutes 35.17 seconds in the alpine skiing men's giant slalom competition, creating the best time in the history of the Chinese team in the Winter Olympics...

Five students of the college competed in the Winter Paralympic Games: the Chinese wheelchair curling team of the Beijing Winter Paralympic Games, composed of 2020 students Yan Zhuo, Chen Jianxin and Zhang Mingming, successfully defended the title and won the championship, and 2021 students Liu Sitong and Ma Jing also performed well on the ski field. They won a total of 1 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze for the Chinese delegation.

In addition to the athletes who fight in the frontline, coaches, referees, technical officials, service support personnel, etc. from the Competitive Sports Academy also go all out and contribute. In addition to athletes, a total of 43 teachers and students (12 teachers and 31 students) of the Competitive Sports College participated in the service guarantee work of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics (Winter Paralympics). Among them, there are 16 domestic technical officials (NTO), covering short track speed skating, alpine skiing, ski jumping, snowmobiling, bobsleigh and other projects; 27 volunteers (including opening and closing ceremony actors), covering the four fields of external liaison (NCS), sports professional volunteers (short track), sports professional volunteers (figure skating), and opening and closing ceremonies.

The college has continuously strengthened the construction of disciplines and made new breakthroughs in scientific research achievements. In 2021, 14 scientific research projects were approved, including 8 projects at or above the provincial and ministerial level; 19 papers were published in core journals; 3 international conference papers were published; 1 national textbook was edited; and 94 papers were selected into the Chinese Sports Association.

The school actively carries out foreign exchanges and cooperation, organizes undergraduate and graduate students to study in six countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Lithuania; continues to promote cooperation and negotiation with well-known universities in Croatia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Finland, the United Kingdom and other well-known foreign universities, and signs the "Consensus on International Cooperation"; and hires Steve Denton, CEO of the International Table Tennis Federation, and Professor Christie, dean of the School of Physical Education of the University of Zagreb in Croatia, as visiting professors. Relying on academic platforms such as the "Belt and Road" International Forum on Sports Training and the "Competitive Sports Lecture Hall", we will further strengthen international academic exchanges and professional cooperation.
The College has deeply studied and implemented Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches at the Party History Study and Education Conference, the Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China, and the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee. Adhere to the performance of the main responsibilities, to create a "head goose pilot, geese take off" team pattern. Adhere to the focus on organizational construction, complete the election of 6 teachers and students' party branches such as the Heavy Competition Teaching and Research Office, and achieve full coverage of "double leaders". Adhere to the system construction as the key, formulate and revise 22 systems, and run system construction through the entire process of party building. Taking the creation of curriculum ideology as the way, we have created "champion +", "red +", "scientific research +", "ideological politics +" and other education projects, and 1 course has been selected as a demonstration case of ideological politics in the Curriculum of Xinhuanet, and 1 course has been selected as a demonstration project for ideological politics in Beijing colleges and universities.
