As a Honda global strategic vehicle, the 2022 Honda HR-V quickly landed in the European market after its release in Japan, and offers the same engine configuration as the Japanese market with a 1.5-liter i-MMD engine configuration, an acceleration of 0-100 per hour of 10.6 seconds, and advanced active safety equipment and excellent fuel consumption.
Earlier Honda had announced that they would only offer electrified vehicles in the European market, mainly to meet the EU carbon emission regulations, so their engine options there were the same as the e:HEV version in Japan. This hybrid system is mainly a concept of extended-range hybrid, with a maximum horsepower of 96 kW and a peak torque of 253 Nm.
In terms of appearance, the new front shape, with a hexagonal water tank cover design style, the interior of the intake grille uses dense horizontal trim strips, with sharply shaped headlights on both sides, and the headlights are combined with LED daytime running lights, which is more in line with the trend of advocating sports style in today's automobile market.
On the side of the body, the body line of the new car adopts a straight line design and adopts a coupe-style design style, which has a strong visual impact. The rear of the car is replaced by continuous taillights, with the Honda logo in the center. In addition to the 6 body appearance colors, the 2022 HR-V also introduces a two-color body roof contrast style, with 5 two-color matching options.
In terms of interior, the car adopts a suspension central control screen design, and the style of its interior is basically the same as the 2021 Honda Oddyssey that has just been listed, equipped with a 9.0-inch central control infotainment system, support for wireless Apple Carplay and wired Android Auto, and as for the digital meter, it is 7 inches. Therefore, the overall layout is completely different from the current HR-V model. Electric tailgates have also been introduced on the new vehicles to improve ease of use.
The new HR-V features a new Honda Connect networking service that uses a smartphone as the key to the vehicle, remotely locks the car, remotely activates the air conditioning in the car and adjusts the temperature in the car, and remotely and automatically updates a variety of car software, as well as Wi-Fi network hotspot function in the car.
The new HR-V in the premium version will feature a 10-channel premium speaker to create a more realistic musical effect. In terms of air conditioning design, the left and right air outlets of the front seat have added a breeze mode. The panoramic sunroof is also in the premium version of the new HR-V, which allows rear-seat passengers to enjoy the comfort of the sun shining all over the car, and the reading lights in the car use LED touch design. The interior space is also relatively wide, with a cargo space of 319L at the rear and 1305L of space when the rear seat is folded up.
In terms of safety assistance, Honda Sensing will be standard in the new HR-V, including automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, CMBS collision assist, LKAS lane keeping, automatic high beams, traffic sign recognition and adaptive radar cruise with start-stop function. The premium version of the new HR-V model will also include rear moving object alerts, blind spot monitoring and a 360-degree surround camera.
In terms of power, it is expected that the 2022 Honda HR-V will have two models of gasoline version and hybrid version, of which the gasoline version is expected to be equipped with a 1.5L turbocharged engine to provide better power output; and the power combination of the hybrid version of HR-V is temporarily unknown, it is determined that it will be launched in Japan and the European and American markets, but whether it can get the Australian market is still unknown.
The rims are paired with 18-inch double five-spoke black cut-off rims and 225/50 tires. The e:HEV badge at the rear also reminds you all the time that this is a hybrid car.
