August 15, 1945, was a day that all Chinese people could never forget. On this day, Japan announced its unconditional surrender, and our country finally won the victory of the 14-year War of Resistance.
However, as the foreign enemy retreated, the situation at home became more tense. Even though the vast majority of the people were longing for peace, the increasingly fierce confrontation between the Kuomintang and the Communists made it impossible for this demand to be realized for a short time.
Chiang Kai-shek had long planned for the arrival of the Kuomintang-Communist civil war. Even when he invited our party to Chongqing for "peace talks," he was also stepping up the integration of the army to prepare for the next armed attack.
Guan Linzheng, who was serving as deputy commander-in-chief of the First Front army in Yunnan Province, also received an order from Chiang Kai-shek in October of the same year that he should take over the post of commander of the Northeast Security Command. This made him ecstatic.
However, it was not long before Chiang Kai-shek changed his mind and reappointed him as the commander of the Yunnan garrison, and Guan Linzheng, even if he was dissatisfied, could only accept the arrangement and take over the post.
But what Guan Linzheng did not expect was that in the future, Chiang Kai-shek's various operations would make him end up being hidden in the snow as a brother of Huangpu and a smooth career. The real reason for this was that Chiang Kai-shek never said it, and only Hu Lian later realized the truth.
Abandon literary martial arts
On April 7, 1905, an ordinary peasant family in Zhenhuaqiao Village, Yanxian County, Shaanxi Province, welcomed a new family member, and they named the baby boy "Guan Zhidao". Guan Zhidao was later renamed Guan Linzheng.
Guan Linzheng's family has been farming for generations, the family business is medium, and his father Guan Shuming has great expectations for his studies, and when he was young, he sent him to the private school in the village to receive education.
Guan Linzheng was also quite talented in learning, and later when he studied at the Yanxian Higher Primary School, he was always among the best and was praised by his teachers.
However, he who is excellent in his studies will sometimes cause a lot of trouble because of uneven fighting and often fighting. Therefore, although his graduation examination results were first, he was also demoted to the second place and admitted to Shanxi Provincial No. 3 Middle School.
The 15-year-old Guan Linzheng came to the provincial city of Xi'an to study, when Liu Zhenhua, the Zhensong Army, happened to hold a lecture hall in Xi'an, and his cool and heroic posture and prestige left a deep impression on Guan Linzheng, and also made him have the desire to "become a company commander".
Therefore, when the family was in trouble and was in debt, Guan Linzheng, who dropped out of school halfway, made up his mind to abandon literature and martial arts and join the army.
In 1924, Guan Linzheng learned from his friend Deng Yumei that an officer school opened by Sun Yat-sen in Guangzhou was secretly enrolling students, and decided to go south to Guangzhou with him to apply for the military academy. After carrying 25 silver dollars from his father's cattle sales as travel expenses, he bid farewell to his father and began his military career.
Guan Linzheng and Deng Yumei traveled from Xi'an to Shanghai, found Yu Youren, the elder of the League and a fellow villager in Shaanxi, and obtained a secret letter of introduction from him, and instead took a boat south to Guangzhou.
The people who obtained the secret letter of introduction with him and successfully passed the exam, as well as 10 people such as Du Yuming and Zhang Yaoming, also became the same window of the first phase of the Whampoa Military Academy.
Shortly after entering the Whampoa Military Academy, Guan Linzheng and other cadets attended the opening ceremony and listened to Sun Yat-sen's speech. Among them, Sun Yat-sen put forward the exhortation to the trainees that "not only to be a highly talented soldier, but also to be a soldier who is not afraid of suffering and death", which also left a deep impression on him and had a profound impact on his military career.
During his time at the school, Guan Linzheng actively studied military education courses and also engaged in military exercises and actual combat exercises, which laid a preliminary foundation for his future conquest of Xinjiang.
The first armed force Guan Linzheng joined after graduation was the Crusade Army, composed of students of the Whampoa Military Academy, aimed at the warlord Chen Jiongming.
In the course of this expedition, Guan Linzheng, who was not afraid of the enemy at all, with the cooperation of the death squad, climbed up the city tower with a full platoon of fighters, opened the city gate, and quickly advanced the victory of the Eastern Crusading Army. And this is also his first victory.
Later, the battlefields of the National Revolutionary Army, large and small, were also filled with the figure of Guan Linzheng, and he also won victories on the battlefield again and again by virtue of his outstanding combat ability, and gradually stood out from the first batch of students of the Whampoa Military Academy and became the "Huangpu Brother" in the minds of many people.
After that, Guan Linzheng made great contributions to the Kuomintang.
Hidden by Chiang Kai-shek
However, after the end of the War of Resistance Against Japan, this outstanding general was successively suppressed by the Kuomintang, and finally even hidden by Chiang Kai-shek and left the battlefield.
In 1945, Guan Linzheng took over the appointment of commander of the Northeast Security Command, which was revoked by Chiang Kai-shek. In desperation, Guan Linzheng could only accept the new appointment and return to Yunnan to take up the post of commander of the Yunnan garrison.

With the strike of 30,000 students in Kunming, the Kuomintang army besieging colleges and universities, beating students severely, and killing many students and teachers by throwing grenades, the "one-two-one" Kunming massacre that shocked China and foreign countries occurred.
As chairman of the National Government and Guan Linzheng as commander of the Yunnan garrison, Chiang Kai-shek naturally bore corresponding responsibility in this matter. However, just when several parties were exerting pressure and asking for explanations, Chiang Kai-shek played a consistent style, discarded his responsibilities, and pushed Guan Linzheng out as a scapegoat.
Since then, Guan Linzheng has officially begun his career as a snow hideer, and has never been a front-line leader since.
The truth that Guan Linzheng was hidden in the snow
