The first general who fired the first shot in the fourteenth year of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and finally sacrificed for the country was Han Jialin, a general in Heilongjiang.
General Han Jialin was born in Shandong, but came to Jilin with his parents at a very young age. The han family's family environment is at the middle and upper levels, and Han Jialin naturally has the conditions to receive a good education. In 1913, Han Jialin was sent to the army to study, this year he was fifteen years old, and his family hoped that he would be able to achieve success in the army and find a small official position. At that time, Ma Zhanshan, the company commander of the cavalry, felt that Han Jialin was a good-looking and capable person, so he accepted him as a righteous son and sent him to the officers' study class to study.
After the outbreak of the September 18 Incident, two groups of figures appeared in the Northeast Army, one group chose to resist bravely and defend the country, and the other group chose to defect to the enemy and save themselves. At this time, Han Jialin came to Guannei and found a military commander stationed in Beiping, Wan Fulin. Wan Fulin admired Han Jialin and hoped that he could stay and become a colonel, but Han Jialin gave up this opportunity and insisted on returning to the northeast to fight the war.
In November, the Japanese army and the army led by Ma Zhanshan engaged in a fierce melee at Jiangqiao, and in this critical moment, Han Jialin arrived in time. Ma Zhanshan was overjoyed to see that Yizi had arrived, and Han Jialin began to assist Ma Zhanshan in commanding the troops without stopping. According to the recollections of relevant personnel at that time, because Ma Zhanshan had no culture, many of the order documents were written by Han Jialin. After that, Ma Zhanshan sent Han Jialin to sneak into Guannei with relevant letters to report the situation here to Zhang Xueliang. After completing the mission, Han Jialin rushed back to Heilongjiang to assist Ma Zhanshan.
Without assistance, Ma Zhanshan's forces were in trouble. From the beginning of 1932, Ma Zhanshan gradually handed over the command to Han Jialin, including the seals of all confidential documents in Han Jialin's hands.
In July, Ma Zhanshan's troops were ambushed by the enemy, and the Japanese even sent aircraft to strafe them, it was a rainy day, the muddy roads made the retreat of the troops a big problem, in order to avoid falling into the encirclement, Ma Zhanshan led the troops across the river. At the same time, he adopted the method of dividing the army into two roads, and han Jialin and Han Jialin each led an army to break through.
Han Jialin broke through with classified documents and cavalry, and this kind of battle was mistaken by the Japanese army for Ma Zhanshan's troops, and they have been pursuing them relentlessly. At night, they were surrounded by Japanese troops and could not escape, but they never surrendered, showing a strong will. The war lasted until dawn, and finally the Japanese found a corpse with many documents and seals on it, and they all thought it was Ma Zhanshan, but it was not, it was Han Jialin.
On this night of heroic resistance, Han Jialin sacrificed, and finally his body was dismembered, but he used his life to complete the breakthrough of Ma Zhanshan's troops, and this spirit of seeing death as a homecoming is admirable!
