Lei Baosen, a veteran of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, is such a hero of the War of Resistance who has made great achievements in battle and vowed to die in an indomitable manner at a critical moment.
In fact, Lei Baosen did not die after jumping off the cliff, but was rescued by people passing by, and his comrades-in-arms were sacrificed because they could not find his body, but his superior Li Yaowen did not want to think so, and never gave up the idea of looking for him.

Lei Baosen, who joined the army at the age of 23, followed the team around during the Liberation War and was awarded the second and third class merits many times.

After returning to China, because Lei Baosen's physical condition was not suitable for continuing to stay in the army, he silently left the army and returned to his hometown of Henan to do some cleaning work in a guest house.
