After joining the army, he became a combat hero
In 1946, Lei Baosen accidentally exposed his identity, so he went to Shandong to join the army under the introduction of the shoe owner. After that, Lei Baosen followed the troops to participate in many battles, not afraid of life and death, bravely killed the enemy, and was awarded the second class merit and the third class merit many times, and was later specially approved to join the party.
After the founding of New China in 1949, The then 25-year-old Lei Baosen smiled heartily as he looked at the new China standing from the ruins.
However, soon the Korean War broke out again, just defeated the Japanese and Kuomintang reactionaries, new China urgently needs time to recover, looking at this new China that has been fought down through his own efforts, Lei Baosen will never allow outsiders to invade the slightest! Subsequently, the determined Lei Baosen took up his gun, followed the large army, and resolutely crossed the Yalu River, as a heroic volunteer soldier to the Korean battlefield.
On March 24, 1951, Ray Baosen was ordered to take his squad of 9 soldiers to the 299 heights under the Seven Peaks Mountain, and their task was to build fortifications, rely on the terrain to carry out the blockade, and nail the American tank troops here, and never let them pose a threat to the large troops.
On the afternoon of the 27th, the 12 tanks of the US army with hundreds of infantry, accompanied by the roar of the motor, the number of tanks was even more than the number of the whole class, in this regard, Ray Paulsen was not in danger, and quickly made a plan, a rocket directly hit the enemy's first tank, so that the tanks behind could not escape due to terrain reasons.
Subsequently, under the cover of his comrades, he blew up eleven tanks one by one, only the last tank fled in a hurry, although he fled one, but the attack of the large troops could not have any impact, Ray Paulsen and his anti-tank squad completed the task perfectly, eliminating hundreds of enemy troops unscathed, setting an unprecedented record for infantry against tank teams that no one has surpassed so far.
However, for this short-lived victory, Rebausen and his comrades did not have time to celebrate and moved their positions with the main force. Later, he was seriously wounded in a battle to cover the breakthrough of the large army, and unwilling to be captured, he ran out of ammunition, smashed his gun, and jumped off the cliff.
Fortunately, Death did not mercilessly take Ray Paulsen away, and shortly thereafter, he was found by two local people and taken to the hospital in time. Unfortunately, due to his serious injuries, Lei Baosen at this time could not return to the battlefield, and after a short period of recuperation, he was sent back to China, and after returning to China, he did not intend to rely on the army to support himself, but quietly left the army alone.
Because his body was too badly injured to do any more heavy work, the rest of his family after returning to his hometown helped him find a job as a cleaner in the guest house, but what he did not know was that the comrades of the unit thought that he had died, so the army also declared his sacrifice, hoping that his family could enjoy the treatment of the martyr's family as soon as possible.
However, heroes will always be remembered by people, and when Li Yaowen, the political commissar of the 26th Army, was sorting out the files of the heroes, because he was confused about Lei Baosen's files, he published a search notice, and surprisingly, he actually found this anti-war hero. In the end, with the help of Li Yaowen, the lost hero also returned to the original 29th Army, and also became the commander of a garrison company in a garrison area of the Changshan Fortress Unit.
In 1963, after retiring from the army, Lei Baosen returned to his hometown of Shangcai County, Henan, and since then he has often gone deep into the army or school to make reports, as far as possible to exert his residual heat, contribute to the motherland, and strive to develop the cause of patriotism.
On March 9, 2009, the old hero Lei Baosen died of illness at the age of 86.
