In 1934, after the failure of the Fifth Anti-"Encirclement and Suppression" campaign of the Red Army, it was forced to start the Long March, a strategic decision made in accordance with the adjustment of the situation and the salvation of the Chinese revolution at a critical moment of crisis. The Red Army was forced to make a strategic shift because three days ago, a hair-covered, blood-stained hanako came to Ruijin and sent top-secret information to the Red Army, without which the consequences would have been unimaginable.

During the Long March, chairman Mao, when talking about this matter, felt that the comrade who sent the information had made a great contribution, and this comrade who sent the information was Xiang Younian, and in order to deliver this information on the life and death of the Red Army on time, he rushed to the road overnight, ate wild fruits at hunger, drank spring water, and became a full-fledged flower boy, and went through thousands of hardships along the way.
Xiang Was born in 1986 in Liancheng County, Fujian Province, and joined the Communist Party of China in 1925. There were many overseas Chinese in Fujian in Nanyang, and Xiang Andian had good language expression and strong activity ability, so he soon became the leader of Chinese workers in Sanmalinda City, and during the cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, he and Peng Zemin led the work outside the sea. During this period, Xiang Henian worked tirelessly to visit the workers as a "businessman".
Xiang Younian's public identity is a member of the Kuomintang, he developed the strength of the Kuomintang in the city of Samalinda, and formed five party branches, but his real identity is a communist, so he is also secretly developing the strength of the Communist Party, taking to the streets, marching and demonstrating, and defending the legitimate rights and interests of the workers. His righteous deeds touched the interests of the colonists, so he was arrested, and after a five-month interrogation, Xiang was indomitable, and finally he could only be released and deported.
In October 1927, Xiang Andian returned to China from Nanyang, when the Kuomintang split, Chiang Kai-shek pointed his gun at the Communists, Xiang and Nian did not reveal their true identity, so they escaped the disaster, but because the party organization had gone underground, it brought him a lot of inconvenience to find the team, fortunately, Xiang Andian was big enough to finally find the comrades of the underground party.
Considering Xiang Younian's experience in activities in Nanyang, after discussion and study, it was decided to arrange for him to work in the Red Brigade of the Three Sections of the Central Special Branch, which was mainly responsible for defending the safety of the Party Central Committee and underground workers, including punishing traitors, rescuing arrested comrades, and understanding the enemy situation.
In August 1929, the leader of the peasant movement Peng Pan was betrayed by traitors and unfortunately sacrificed, after some investigation, the culprit was Bai Xin, who was then the secretary of the Central Military Commission, and the Central Special Branch decided to get rid of this traitor and avenge the sacrificed comrades, and at this time Bai Xin had noticed that danger was approaching, so he asked his superiors for instructions and prepared to go to Italy for a while, and the superiors agreed to his request.
The task of executing traitors fell to Xiang Younian. On this day, Bai Xin walked out of the house under the protection of The Kuomintang agents, and was preparing to get into the car, When Xiang Younian and other comrades, who were hidden not far away, quickly stepped forward and shot at Bai Xin, successfully killing this shameful traitor. This incident shocked Shanghai, and after that, Xiang Younian was also praised by Zhou Enlai.
Xiang Younian worked at the Kuomintang Security Headquarters of the Fourth District of Jiangxi Province, and the "commander of the bandits" at that time was Mo Xiong, who was said to have been by Chiang Kai-shek's side and had saved Chiang Kai-shek's life, and because of this, he saw Chiang Kai-shek's true face clearly and gradually became estranged from him. At this time, Mo Xiong began to approach the Chinese Communist Party and put forward his long-cherished wish to join the party, and Zhou Enlai, Li Kenong, and others saw Mo Xiong's boldness and sincerity, but they believed that Mo Xiong's stay in the Kuomintang would have greater value.
In 1934, as the Kuomintang prepared to launch a fifth encirclement and suppression campaign against the Red Army, Chiang Kai-shek convened a meeting in Lushan in late September to study this military battle plan, to which Mo Xiong was invited. At the meeting, Chiang Kai-shek decided to mobilize 1.5 million troops to blockade the Central Soviet Area at the same time with mine arrays, pillbox arrays, and barbed wire, and then advance step by step, narrow the encirclement, and finally completely annihilate the Red Army. This scheme is called the "Iron Barrel Project".
The plan was very detailed, including the location of each unit, the equipment, the time and route of the attack, the contact signal, etc., printed a thick copy, the cover was printed with the word "top secret", distributed to everyone attending the meeting, and it was strictly forbidden to leak secrets, and if there was any disobedience, it was not allowed to shoot and kill.
After the meeting, Mo Xiong went down the mountain overnight and handed over the information of the "Iron Barrel Plan" to Xiang Younian, Lu Zhiying, and Liu Dumb Buddha, and the three of them quickly realized that if the "Iron Barrel Plan" was successfully implemented, it would bring a devastating blow to the Red Army. After much discussion, the work of sending information was handed over to Xiang younian.
Xiang and Nian are five hundred kilometers away from Ruijin, along the way to face the enemy's checkpoint post, tight guard, in order to arrive as soon as possible, Xiang and Nian immediately set off, with many years of experience in special subjects, he disguised himself as a teacher, easily and easily respond to the interrogation and search of the sentry. But Xiang Henian always had a uneasiness in his heart, he thought that the dictionary could be confiscated, so he copied the contents into paper, hid it in his shoes, and continued to move forward.
Soon, Xiang Younian realized that it would be good if the sentry checked the shoes, so he decided to hide and sleep during the day, rush at night, climb over the mountains, and avoid the checkpoints as much as possible, so that he suffered a lot, falling and falling was a common occurrence, but he always braved the difficulties and moved forward.
When he was about to reach Ruijin, Xiang Younian found that all the roads were blocked, and he could only take the main road with a hard scalp, he based the wisdom of saving the Red Army on the extreme pain of the individual, picked up a stone on the side of the road, smashed it against his front teeth, and suddenly the blood flowed, the front teeth were knocked out four times, the clothes and face were covered with blood, and then he staggered to the checkpoint.
The sentry saw a "hanako" approaching, emitting a foul smell, and covered his nose while telling him to hurry up. Under the wisdom and flexibility of Xiang Younian, he successfully came to Ruijin, at this time he was already weak on all fours, and he did not even have the strength to enter the room, but still insisted with tenacious will: "I want to see Zhou Enlai!" ”
The Red Army soldiers reported one after another, Zhou Enlai rushed to the scene, Xiang Andian took out the details of the "Iron Barrel Plan" from the soles of his shoes, Zhou Enlai looked at it, and could not help but look at the forty-year-old communist fighter who had four missing four front teeth, and shed tears of emotion.
The Central Red Army resolutely made a major strategic transfer on the basis of Xiang and Nian's intelligence, and from then on began the tragic Long March, and when Chiang Kai-shek was confidently beginning the "Iron Barrel Plan," his subordinates suddenly came to report that the Central Red Army had left Ruijin, and for a moment, the "iron barrel" he had carefully planned had become an "empty barrel." Chiang Kai-shek jumped like a thunderbolt and scolded, saying that he wanted to shoot this and that, but he was just sullen, and finally he ordered his troops to intercept the Red Army.
During the Long March, chairman Mao said with emotion when talking about the Red Army's great transfer: "The comrades who sent information have made great contributions!" Xiang Andian followed the troops on the Long March, but a few days later, the Central Special Branch transferred Xiang Andian back to Shanghai, asking him to lead two assistants to sabotage the enemy's "encirclement, pursuit and interception" of the Red Army's transportation line, Xiang Andian received orders to return, and then prepared to go from Nanjing to Nanchang, and unexpectedly, Xiang Andian was arrested in Nanjing.
Xiang Younian had the documents of the Jiangxi "Suppression of Bandits Headquarters" on his body, so although he was arrested, the jailers did not dare to execute him, and could only escort him to Nanchang for interrogation. Considering that Xiang and Nian's identity had been exposed, Teco arranged for him to rest at home and not go out.
Xiang Younian stayed at home for a month, accompanied by his wife and children, very happy. Then the organization sent him to work in Hong Kong, and just after he left, the Kuomintang raided his home and arrested his wife and daughter, who suffered in prison until the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, and with the efforts of the underground Party comrades, they were rescued.
Later, Xiang and Nian changed his name to Liang Mingde, after the end of the struggle, he applied to the organization to go to the northeast under more difficult conditions to carry out liberation work, the organization considered his physical condition and refused, but Xiang and Nian had already made up their minds, and finally organized to send him to Yanshou County, Heilongjiang Province. At that time, the Japanese army had surrendered, but there were still remnants of rogues and reactionary forces running rampant, and Xiang he organized dozens of battles of all sizes, and finally arrived in Yanshou County on January 24, 1946, and achieved liberation.
Xiang Younian became the county magistrate of Yanshou County, took the lead in resuming work and production, and let the people who suffered from war and banditry have a good life. Xiang Henian led by example, even in the cold winter, he only wore a coat and a dozen torn sweater pants, when the staff proposed to apply to the superior for a new set of clothes, Xiang Andian categorically refused, in his opinion, as long as the clothes can withstand the cold.
Xiang Younian is extremely harsh on his own life, but he is very concerned about the people. In the process of a bandit crackdown, the father of a guard in Yanshou County was killed in battle, and there was an elderly mother and three younger sisters in the family, and when Xiang Younian learned about it, he deliberately instructed the civil affairs department to regularly give subsidies to their families, which lasted for eight years.
Xiang Younian was deeply loved by the people, who said that he was the real "parent official", but Xiang Younian did not think so, he said: "The people are the parent officials of the county chief." ”
Xiang Younian was born in an ordinary family in the mountains of western Fujian, and in the dangerous environment of struggle, he has been engaged in underground struggle for a long time, written a brilliant chapter, and showed the style of a great revolutionary.
