In December, four theatrical works will soon gather at the Daning Theatre.
With the awakening of women's independent consciousness and the birth of Liu Bannong's "she" word, a large number of outstanding women emerged, and their works and stories were praised by posterity - Zhang Ailing and Lin Huiyin are two representatives. The well-known director Li Bonan joined hands with the Zhejiang Repertory Theatre to bring the legendary experience of Zhang Ailing and Lin Huiyin to the drama stage, condensing it into "Looking for Her Traces Zhang Ailing" and "Goodbye Huiyin", showing the feelings of a generation of talented women in the Republic of China.
It is difficult to create a drama about Zhang Ailing, because she is famous all over the world, and because she is too legendary. "Looking for Her Fang Traces Zhang Ailing" takes a different path and is bold and surprising, dividing the stage into three time and space:

The symphony of multiple time and space, the brewing of many emotions, and the interpretation of a variety of lives, among which the key figure connecting the stage is a generation of legendary women, Zhang Ailing.
The drama "Goodbye Huiyin" tells the story of Lin Huiyin, a talented and accomplished female architect, poet and teacher, from settling in Beiping Beizongbu Hutong until her death. With "Mrs. Wife's Living Room" as the main line, Lin Huiyin's love-hate entanglement and life experience before his death are truly displayed, and the relationship between individuals, families and the country is explored.
Previously, the drama "Erma", which was adapted from Lao She's classic work directed by Fang Xu, was widely acclaimed, and in 2020, the Remake of Beiyan re-rehearsed this play, inviting Li Ye, a national first-class actor of the National Theatre of China, to serve as the rehearsal director, starring actors Ning Wentong and Cui Yi, will premiere in Shanghai on December 12. The drama "Erma" is adapted from Mr. Lao She's early work, derived from Mr. Lao She's early life in Britain, which is not only his attempt to combine Western literary narrative methods with Chinese novels, but also his profound reflection on national nature after experiencing the violent collision of Chinese and Western civilizations.

The drama "Misunderstanding", which will meet shanghai audiences during Christmas from December 24 to 25, is directed by well-known director Yang Ting and starring specially invited film and television actor singer Li Mao.
The story of "Misunderstanding" was born out of Nobel Prize winner Camus's famous work "The Outsider". It's a story based on real news events, which Camus first placed in an old newspaper that the protagonist of "The Outsider" Meursault saw in prison, and then wrote the short story into a complete theatrical work about a mother and daughter, who are also innkeepers, who try to escape from this isolated place by murdering tourists and seize their belongings, but inadvertently kill their sons/brothers who have been separated for many years.
The plot of "Misunderstanding" seems simple, but it contains huge energy, and through this story, camus's work conveys that "no matter how absurd the world is, you must have a spirit to face it and the strength to confront it", which may be what director Yang Ting really wants to convey to the current social audience.
