The play tells the story of the Northern Song Dynasty. Song and Liao fought, the Liao state was defeated, and Xiao Yinzong led the crowd to The Three Passes to negotiate peace. At the banquet, She Taijun demanded that yang Yanhui, the fourth son of Yang Yanhui, who had surrendered to the Liao state and had become a donkey. Xiao Yinzong reluctantly agreed, but his daughter Princess Peach Blossom also wanted to return to the Song Dynasty with her husband. Xiao Yinzong angrily rebuked his daughter and sternly refused. In desperation, Princess Peach Blossom committed suicide by hitting a wall. She Taijun accused Yang Shilang of being unfaithful and filial, and Yang Yanhui was ashamed and embarrassed to draw his sword and kill himself. "Three Passes Pai Feast" describes the deeds of the Yang family general Zhonglie.
