If a man can meet any two of these points, it can be said that most women are satisfied with the choice, if all of these are satisfied, it is really rare, so that all women dream. In the ancient Eastern Jin Dynasty, there was such a person - Wang Xianzhi.

An allusion to the East Bed's quick son-in-law

Wang Xianzhi's father was Wang Xizhi, a world-renowned calligrapher during the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Wang Xizhi was born in the Wei and Jin dynasties of the Famous Langya Wang clan, and at the age of sixteen, he was favored by Xi Jian, a major minister of the imperial court, and was selected as his son-in-law.

At that time, Taiwei Xijian and Wang Dao (Wang Xizhitang's uncle) were good friends, and Xi Jian felt that the Wang family was right, so he said to Wang Dao: "There are many outstanding men in your family's descendants, how about I choose one of them to be my xi family's son-in-law?" Wang Dao gladly agreed, promising Xi Jian to agree no matter which one he chose.

Wang Xizhi

The following day, Xi Jian sent a butler with a generous gift to visit the Wang family in the name of choosing a son-in-law. When the men of the Wang family heard that the lieutenant was going to marry a daughter, they packed themselves up and came out to see each other. Only Wang Xizhi was in the study of the East Courtyard, with his stomach exposed, lazily lying on the bed by the east wall. After the housekeeper took a look, he returned to xi mansion and informed Xi Jian of the situation one by one.

After Xi Jian finished listening, he said to the butler, "The man who is lying there doing nothing is the person I am looking for, take me to see." After Xi Jian came to the palace to see Wang Xi, he felt that this person had an extraordinary appearance, and was selected on the spot and gave a dowry. This is the allusion to the "East Bed Quick Son-in-Law".

Wang Xianzhi practiced calligraphy painstakingly

After Wang Xizhi and Xi Jian's daughter Xi Xuan became relatives, they had seven sons and a daughter, and Wang Xianzhi was the youngest son of the two.

Book of Jin, Volume 80, Liechuan No. 50: Zi Jing of the Zi Jing. There is little fame, and gao Mai is uninhibited, although idle all day, it is not idle, and the wind is the crown of the moment.

When he was a teenager, he had an extraordinary temperament, although he rarely went out, he was already famous in the local area. One day, Xian Zhi and Wang Huizhi (the fifth son of Wang Xizhi) and Wang Caozhi (the sixth son of Wang Xizhi) went to visit Xie An (a famous politician of the Eastern Jin Dynasty), Wang Huizhi and Wang Caozhi had many speeches, sophisticated and mature, while Wang Huizhi was silent. After the three brothers left, the bystander asked Xie An who was the best of the three, and Xie An replied: "The youngest one will be the most successful in the future, and has always become a big thing. ”

Wang Xizhi's calligraphy

At the age of seven, Xian Zhi began to learn calligraphy with his father, and when he was ten years old, Xian Zhi realized that the characters had been written well, and ran to ask Wang Xizhi: "If I practice for two or three more years, the characters should be able to write as well as my father, right?" Wang Xizhi replied, "You haven't been practicing hard for five years, have you seen the eighteen large vats in the courtyard, you have to practice all the water in it, and you have only just solidified the basic skills." ”

After listening to it, he secretly resolved to let his father recognize himself and practice words harder. Five years passed, and one day, Xian Zhi carefully wrote down a few pages, and felt very satisfied, so he took it to Wang Xizhi, who was silent after reading it, but added a little under the word "big" in it. XianZhi took it to his mother for review, and her mother looked at it for a long time, pointed to a place, and said, "Only this point has your father's skill." "When I looked closer, I saw that it was added by my father's own hand. Xian Zhi felt very ashamed, realized that his calligraphy was far worse than his father, and never again was proud and complacent, and practiced calligraphy diligently.

Wang Xianzhi's calligraphy

Later, Wang Xianzhi did indeed "better than blue out of blue" in calligraphy, and in the century and a half after the end of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Wang Xianzhi's influence surpassed Wang Xizhi.

The Liang calligrapher and painter Yuan Ang said in the "Ancient and Modern Book Review": "Zhang Zhi is amazed, Zhong Xuan is exceptional, Yi Shao Ding Neng, and dedicates the crown of the world." ”

The love between Wang Xianzhi and his cousin Xi Daomao

Xi Daomao was the daughter of Wang Xi's wife Xi Xuan's younger brother Xi Tan and Wang Xianzhi's cousin. The two families of King Xi have always been good friends, coupled with the marriage relationship, the exchange is more frequent. Wang Xianzhi and Xi Daomao grew up with green plum bamboo horses and were in love.

When Wang Xianzhi reached the age of marrying his wife, he hurriedly told his parents about his intentions, and soon married his cousin into the door. Within half a year of becoming a parent, the husband and wife's father, Wang Xizhi and Xi Tan, died one after another, and the two young people with the same experience felt more sorry for each other, comforted each other, and their feelings became deeper and deeper.

But God made a joke at this time.

The princess offers to meet each other

Sima Daofu (Princess Xin'an), the third daughter of Emperor Jianwen of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, once met Wang Xian and fell in love at first sight. However, due to political factors at that time, Emperor Jianwen betrothed Princess Xu of Xin'an to Huan Ji, the second son of Huan Wen, a major minister in the court. Later, Huan Ji violated the criminal law and was exiled. Princess Xin'an regained her freedom, and she always admired Wang Xianzhi in her heart, so she asked Emperor Jianwen to give her permission to Wang Xianzhi.

When Wang Xianzhi learned that the royal family was going to force him to marry Princess Xin'an, he really did not want to abandon his beloved wife Xi Daomao, so he burned his legs with wormwood, and Yu Mingsheng said that he had suffered from foot disease for a long time, had limited mobility, and was not worthy of the princess, hoping that the emperor would take back the holy will. Princess Xin'an still did not want to marry Wang Xianzhi, and did not make a concubine, so Wang Xianzhi had no choice but to divorce his wife and marry the princess into the door.

Both sides were depressed

After Xi Daomao was suspended, he was heartbroken, returned home and did not remarry, and soon after he fell seriously ill and died. After Wang Xianzhi and Princess Xin'an became relatives, their lives were not happy.

The Book of Jin records the following: "Although the years are accumulated, they can enjoy the joy of the day, and they are often bitter and untouchable." Fang wants to be with his sister's feet, and to grow old with him, is it not to say goodbye to this! When the sorrow is deep, why should I see my sister day and night? Pitching and mourning, there is nothing left, but the ear is desperate! ”

This is a letter written by Wang Xianzhi to Xi Daomao after the divorce, which expresses Wang Xianzhi's extremely sad and unwilling feelings, which shows that Wang Xianzhi has always been worried about his cousin Xi Daomao after he became related to Princess Xin'an. Wang Xianzhi's heart was depressed and he died young at the age of forty-three a few years later.

It can be seen that in ancient times, even if you were a man, born into a famous family, and talented, you could only be forced by power and not free, which is really a great sadness.
