In 2013, the Korean movie "The Gift of Room Seven" won the annual championship as soon as it was released, and the tear-jerking plot also made the film still loved by the audience. To this day, "The Gift of Room Seven" is still in the ranks of the top 250 must-see movies in Douban Movies.
The adaptation of classic movies must not only bear the outstanding box office pressure of the original work, but also face the scrutiny and comparison of the original audience. One win and one loss, adapting the Korean version of "The Gift of Room Seven" is undoubtedly a huge challenge.
But Turkish director Memit Ada took up the challenge and incorporated "The Gift of Room Seven" into the localization elements and made a bold adaptation. The film's male protagonist, Memo, is an intellectually handicapped father who lives with a cute and sensible daughter, Ova, and an elderly grandmother. Although Mermo's intelligence is equivalent to that of a six-year-old child, he is very fond of his daughter. Seeing that her daughter wanted a red Heidi school bag, she tried to make fruit hard candy to raise money to buy it for her.
But when Memo takes her daughter to the stationery store, she finds that the school bag has been bought by Ova's classmate Sidda. Memo wants to buy back her school bag from Sida, but Sida's father recognizes it as harassment and knocks him to the ground with a punch.
During a picnic, Sida once again meets Memo, who is herding sheep. Sida uses Heidi's school bag to attract Mermo's attention to play with him, and during this play, Sida accidentally falls into the lake and dies on the spot. Mermo, the only one present, was also convicted of the murderer, and Sida's father, who was already disgusted with Memo, used his position as commander to make Memo pay with his life.

In the setting sun, Ova looked at her father, who was talking to the flock, and couldn't help but express her doubts to Grandma. Grandma then told her in words that the child could understand, that Memo was unique, and that he was a child like Ova.
Compared with the original version, this version of the story adds a role of grandma, making the film more healing and warm, coupled with a very fairy tale sunset scenery, completely free from the shackles of the original version, showing a localized film texture.

The affectionate Mermo also touched Astrozru's heart more and more. Thinking that Memo was about to face hanging, but was unable to see his daughter, Ascolozlu decided to risk helping Memo once.
Seeing Memo and Ova's father and daughter reunited, the intimate and warm picture between the two also infected everyone present.
The deep and touching affection between Memo and her daughter Ova also made Askrozlu, the "head" of Room Seven, begin to recognize the warmth of the family again, and made up his mind to live well with his family after he was released from prison.
Sent to Room Seven, Ova's innocence and cuteness also touched the softest part of the criminals' hearts. They told Ova that the people here were all sick and that when her father was well, he could be reunited with her.
Throughout Room Seven, there was an old man who always sat alone on his bed, observing the white spots on the wall all day long, and no one knew what he was looking at. But Ova saw at a glance that he was actually looking at the tree. The wonderful connection and understanding between Ova and the old man also laid the groundwork for the subsequent plot.
It seems that the criminals work together to help memone reunite, but in fact, these criminals also get the salvation of their hearts in the process of helping memo.
A fairytale ending, a transmission of love and hope
The concept of "death" is not explicitly mentioned throughout the film, they only tell the Owa that they will become angels. When death and parting become another paradise, it seems that such an explanation will make the sadness of parting less painful.
But when Memmo realized he would be hanged, he had an emotional breakdown and hugged Ova and refused to let go. The film is filmed in a substitutionary way, and when the warden finally tells Ova that her father has returned, the mystery hidden in the hanging is gradually solved, and this treatment also enriches the emotional level.
The reunion of Ova and her father Memo brings the audience a fairy tale warmth, and through the film, we can also feel that the understanding of love has nothing to do with IQ.
