Zhenbeibao Western Cinema (hereinafter referred to as the Cinema), located in Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, was founded in 1993 by writer Zhang Xianliang. The main attractions of the cinema are composed of many film and television shooting landscapes such as Mingcheng, Qingcheng, and Old Yinchuan Street. Recently, when a reporter from China News Service visited here, he found that there were still film and television crews here to shoot the scene.
According to the official data of the studio, the number of tourists here in 2019 was 1.7 million; so far in 2020, the number of tourists has still reached more than 1.5 million under the epidemic.
Zhang Xianliang, who is famous in the literary world for his works such as "Spirit and Flesh", "Green Tree" and "Half of a Man is a Woman", died in 2014, and the studio he founded before his death was known as a "three-dimensional literary work".
"This is the spiritual legacy of writer Zhang Xianliang." Yang Deyong, who opens a bookstore near the cinema, said, "The elderly have made great contributions to the local culture and tourism. ”
Yang Deyong told reporters that since 1994, he has participated in the construction of the cinema and witnessed Zhang Xianliang's construction of the former desolate "sheep pen" into a famous cinema today.
"I have dealt with the elderly Zhang Xianliang for nearly 20 years, and the old man is particularly simple and very kind to us." Yang Deyong said that many foreign tourists come to the bookstore to ask about Zhang Xianliang's works and talk to him about Zhang Xianliang's story of building a studio.
"As a benchmark for tourism in western China, to some extent, the establishment of the studio is a person who changes the external image of a city." Yang Deyong said, "As one of the witnesses, I am very proud. ”
In the past 20 years, many people around the studio have "changed" their lives because of Zhang Xianliang.

Zhang Xianliang's success here has a lot to do with his unique perspective on the problem. Public information shows that as a writer, he has accumulated experience in the market economy by starting and operating a studio, and summed up the thesis that "culture is the secondary productive force".
Zhang Xianliang once said in public, "Because I have studied Capital for more than 20 years, I know how to operate an enterprise..." The famous director Xie Jin's "Wrangler" and "The Old Man and the Dog" films were filmed here, which not only witnessed the friendship between Zhang Xianliang and Xie Jin, but also became a good story; it is worth mentioning that most of the scenes of China's first international award-winning film "Red Sorghum" were taken from here; the postmodern classic film "Journey to the West" left many shooting scenes here.
