For example, when the meeting hall of the Yinchuan Administrative Center was to be assembled, he was asked to support the huge ink treasure, and he gladly agreed, and the words he wrote are still hanging in the Yinchuan Administrative Center. I think he has a sense of return for this land.
Later he fell ill, supposedly 78 years old, but we still have some receptivity because we are still waiting to see his biography, to see his memoirs. Although he was sick, he was very open-minded and did not have the pain of ordinary patients. I texted him to comfort him, and as a result he also texted me to comfort me. His open-mindedness and his handling of things made me very moved.

The first contact with Zhang Xianliang began with the movie "Wrangler", which I watched more than once when I was a child - in the countryside with limited cultural resources and few entertainment activities, "Wrangler" is one of the classic films that the film team plays in turn in various villages.
Later, his father bought back a collection of Zhang Xianliang's novels and included Zhang Xianliang's representative works such as "Half of Men Are Women" and "GreenIng Trees". At that time, Zhang Xianliang's status in the Chinese literary scene was as great as ever, and his reputation was outstanding. The sexual depictions in his works not only show the oppression and distortion of politics on the individual's body and mind, but also make sexual enlightenment to the reader to a certain extent. Zhang Xianliang's sex is by no means obscene and dark, but has a rare frankness and naturalness. And the masculinity in Zhang Xianliang's works has a feeling of being breathtaking after reading it.
As a journalist, I interviewed Zhang Xianliang by phone twice, and both times went well. But this last time, even if I and his assistant Ma Hongying sat face to face in her office in the Western Film and Television City and talked earnestly, I finally had to regret my relationship with Zhang Xianliang.
Mr. Lu Zhan, who first compiled and distributed Zhang Xianliang's novels, said that as an editor, he only did what he should do when he published the unpunished works of Zhang Xianliang in Ningxia Literature and Art. Zhang Xianliang's personal success in literary creation has led to the strong development of Ningxia's literary and artistic circles.
