At this point, the number of representative items of provincial intangible cultural heritage in Longwen District has increased to 2.
Because the people admired Chen Chun's character and wisdom, they pinned their thoughts and emotions on him, and the legend of Chen Chun was born. The legend of Chen Chun spread in the folk in Hokkien, telling the story in a narrative way, which is a typical oral literature and is easy to understand. As a generational inheritance, Chen Chun's legend embodies the true hearts of the people, reflects the traditional cultural mentality and aesthetic needs of the grass-roots people, and has important guiding significance for the dissemination of the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation, and was rated as the eighth batch of intangible cultural heritage representative projects in Zhangzhou in October 2020.
In recent years, Longwen District has adhered to the socialist core values as the guide, implemented the work policy of "protection first, rescue first, rational utilization, inheritance and development", solidly carried out the protection and inheritance of representative items of intangible cultural heritage, promoted the comprehensive and effective protection of intangible cultural heritage, and contributed to the construction of new Longwen in the new development stage.
