In October 1947, she wrote a letter to Tan Zhenglun and entrusted her brother Tan Zhu'an to hand it over to her. In the letter, Jiang Zhujun wrote: "If we have any misfortune, Yun Er will give it to you." I hope that in the future, he can follow the footsteps of his parents, take the construction of new China as his ambition, and fight to the end for the revolutionary cause! She gave everything and the plan out, and also asked Tan Zhenglun to come to Chongqing as soon as possible.

In February 1948, Tan Zhenglun came to Chongqing at the risk of his life and took over Peng Yun, who was only one year and ten months old, from Jiang Zhujun's comrades-in-arms.
