Wang Xinchun, secretary of the party committee and chairman of the board of directors of China Railway Jinan Bureau Group Co., Ltd., and Guan Changfeng, general manager, jointly unveiled the martyr statue, and then the party member representatives presented flower baskets for the martyr statue, and all the personnel participating in the ceremony bowed to the martyr statue to express their respect and remembrance of the martyrs.
The statues of wang gemei and Deng Enming are about 3.3 meters high, located in the courtyard of the Jiaoji Railway Museum, with strong pines and leaves, the statues of the two martyrs stand solemnly, and their resolute eyes look into the distance, as if telling the story of blood and fire, conveying the revolutionary force that marches forward courageously.
According to the person in charge of the Jiaoji Railway Museum, Wang Gemei and Deng Enming were a major representative of the Cpc and an organizer and leader of the early Shandong Party organization. Wang Gemei was born in 1898 in Zhucheng, Shandong. Deng Enming was born in 1901 in Libo, Guizhou.
Wang Gemei and Deng Enming met in the patriotic movement, attended the first national congress of the Communist Party of China together in 1921, and after returning to Shandong, the two ran around, propagating Marxism, actively leading the workers' movement, and the progressive forces continued to inspire and grow in factories, coal mines and other places where workers were concentrated along the Jiaoji Railway. In February 1925, Deng Enming and Wang Gemei launched a huge strike of workers on the Jiaoji Railway and the Sifang Locomotive Factory, and established the Jiaoji Railway Federation of Trade Unions, the Qingdao workers' movement reached a climax, the CCP organization gradually spread throughout the entire Jiaoji Railway, the Jiaoji Railway became the fastest place in Shandong to spread the revolutionary spark, and Wang Gemei and Deng Enming left an indelible red footprint on the Jiaoji Railway. Today, in the Jiaoji Railway Museum, there is a seal of the 1925 "Executive Committee of the Four-Party Branch of the Jiaoji Railway Federation of Trade Unions", which bears witness to the vigorous workers' movement nearly a hundred years ago.
It is understood that on the occasion of the centenary of the founding of the party, China Railway Jinan Bureau Group Co., Ltd. combined with the study and education of party history, deeply excavated the red resources of the century-old Jiaoji Railway, enriched and expanded the revolutionary traditional education function of the Jiaoji Railway Museum, and on the day of the activity, the "Cloud Exhibition Hall" of Party History Study and Education and the Red Special Exhibition Area of the Jiaoji Railway Museum were opened simultaneously and opened to the public, when the public could feel the historical style of the century-old railway and the glorious course of the development of the party-led railway.
