"Red Bridge - Wang Gemei in Shanqiao" is jointly cooperated by Liu Jian and Li Zedong, a native writer of Qinhuangdao City, using the technique of documentary literature, starting from the in-depth excavation of the oral historical materials of historical witnesses, faithful to historical reality, and vividly describing the extraordinary deeds of Wang Gemei leading the Shanqiao workers to create the first party group in Qinhuangdao and launching a huge Jingfeng railway workers and the Kailuan Five Miners' Strike.

The theme of the book is presented by two clues, one is to start from the revolutionary historical scene of Shanhaiguan, leading readers to feel the power of the truth of the spark of the centenary of the founding of the party; the other is to show the red gene in the "cradle of China's steel bridge, the hometown of the turnout" - Shanhaiguan Bridge Factory took root and continued to inherit the context, highlighting the interpretation of the party building leadership for the great power project, national rejuvenation played by the soul role.
