At 12 o'clock on the 10th, Mr. Wang, a citizen of Harbin, came to the Heilongjiang Provincial Water Traffic Rescue Center to ask the staff for help, saying that his mother had gone missing near the Middle East Railway Bridge in The Daowai District of Harbin on June 8 and was suspected of jumping into the river. Xia Shanhong, director of the rescue center who was eating lunch, immediately put down his rice bowl in his hand, asked the leader in charge of the provincial navigation development center, and urgently deployed 3 backbone divers and 5 crew members such as Jinding to form a search and rescue team, and drove the two rescue speedboats of Dragon Rescue 01 and Dragon Rescue 02 to the suspected accident site for search and rescue.
The reporter learned from the provincial transportation department that according to the clues provided by Mr. Wang, the search and rescue personnel drove a rescue speedboat to carry out a search near the Harbin Fourth Ring Bridge, searching back and forth along the two banks, with a search radius of about 15 kilometers. Based on the successful cases of search and rescue in the past, Jinding, an experienced diver, organized search and rescue ships and personnel to conduct a key search in the area with backwater flow.
Time passed minute by minute, around 13:20, the rain on the Songhua River became heavier and heavier, the rain formed a gray-white water mist with the wind, the visibility of the river surface was extremely poor, and the search and rescue personnel did not interrupt the search and rescue work. After nearly 3 hours of meticulous searching, the missing person has not been found.
The reporter learned from the Provincial Navigation Career Development Center that according to the family of the missing person, his mother is 56 years old and suffers from mild depression, and an angler found the backpack that the old man carried with him before leaving home in the river. After the incident, the family of the missing person retrieved the video at the entrance of the Middle East Railway Bridge through the relevant departments, saw the picture of the old man on the bridge, and the follow-up inspection did not find the old man leaving the bridge, thus concluding that the old man jumped into the water and died. On the 11th, the search will continue.
