Probably because I stayed at home for too long, I was somewhat disconnected from society, usually slower than normal people for new things. Hearing the brainwashing divine comedy "Little Apple" was two days ago, and today, it is only today that it is slowly associated with the movie version of "Old Boy" that the chopstick brothers have been tinkering with for a long time. 

I have to admit that the micro-film two or three years ago really touched me, and we even left two or three drops of false tears for the theme song. Therefore, there may be excessive expectations with arrogance, and there is a slight gap in feelings and psychological expectations after watching the movie. Overall, the movie version of "Old Boy" is fairly entertaining, several original music is of a better level, and some ridiculous passages, such as the face change of modern Peking Opera underwear, and the god setting of the White Tiger Brothers of the Iron Man duo are all worthy of recognition. But in addition, the film also has some unsatisfactory places, here mainly to talk about some views on the structure and creative concept. 

If the attitude and values embodied in the micro-film version are sentimental and heart-warming, this advantage has not been maintained in the film version of "Old Boy" from the concept of creation. The attitude of the creators affects the work, and there is no doubt that the talent of the Chopstick Brothers is worthy of recognition, but the problem is that the success of the moment is lost, it seems that they do not consider whether the successful experience of micro-films is suitable for the volume of cinema films, nor do they consider whether personal appeals and audience psychology are misplaced. 

For example, "Raptors Across the River" has three or four very abrupt erotic scenes, which the author may find eye-catching, but it is very low in the summer cinema. The dreams and realities that are repeatedly told on the lips are endlessly nagged by Bibi, and the audience feels that they are being educated in the high school ideological and moral class. The character modeling of Wang Taili itself is not very positive, and it is more maliciously blackened for the life of the North Drift, such as the performance of the big fat daughter-in-law, which cannot be empathetic, and even has a slight disgust. The whole film is full of 40-year-old people stuck in their own ways, it can be said that the author is too obsessed with personal tastes, self-made clever chatter, and even the overwhelming vulgarity, all of which make the film farther and farther away from the audience.

Moreover, it is not the eighties, poets and wandering singers will not be awe-inspiring, but will become familiar negative jokes. Choosing to live their own consequences, the two protagonists are not trying without success, it is simply a typical example of not working hard, they do not really love music, they only want to succeed overnight, and they think about money. "Rocky" is not for the boxing champion, but he insists on not falling, and Rudy is not the most outstanding athlete in "DreamIng of the Naked Heart", but his spirit is awe-inspiring. And here in the old boy, it is completely irrelevant to the ideals hanging on the lips, and it is difficult for the audience to identify with the protagonist's behavior and methods. And this is not a simple bloody movie, the addition of love elements in the story and "ideal" has become mutual obstacles, actresses have seriously robbed the scene, and this label model clue of Dabao and the goddess is so tedious that the chicken soup of the soul has become a physical stimulus, in fact, the theme and intention of the movie have been pulled down. It is the naked creative ambition that desires the film to be a blockbuster and become popular, turning the good grounding into a very insincere mixed farce. 

In terms of storytelling, without talking about the details, only pointing out that the main problem is the rhythm. The plot of the first act is relatively sloppy. The time jump is a clear failure, and the first (including the last) school scene is purely a snake, and has nothing to do with the theme story of the movie. In particular, the appearance of two overage actors has a very limited positive effect.

In the appearance of the characters, the two protagonists did not twist into a rope, and the characters who should have simply intervened from the state were exposed by the author for fear that the audience would not understand their pain, and simply became an interview with the hard-pressed men of the demolition household and the foot-washing city. The problem of the emotional line setting as mentioned above is sloppy and monotonous, and it is also obvious in the first act that in order to explain the love history of the past, from more than ten years ago in school, after the current tense of the cave, and suddenly back to five years ago to talk about how the band broke up because of the girl, this kind of back and forth jumping time and space does not make the characters more plump, but takes the audience out of the situation.

As for the main part of the American performance, in fact, the identity dislocation of the true and false killer is a very comedic setting, and it is also a tried-and-true creative routine to make the fake and the fake drama really do, but unfortunately, the story does not have a good depth on the interesting setting of this identity and situation. Instead, it goes farther and farther on the road of pursuing the bizarre, resulting in many plot bugs, such as a godfather-like massacre on the front foot of the mafia, but the back has to rely on 2 living treasures to kill people itself is not convincing. The triple coincidence that the judges are goddesses and targets of assassination, and who is also the wife of the mafia leader, is also too illusory. Most importantly, the Chopstick Brothers still have a lot of song and dance shows to show, and they can only be jumped and split in the progress of the story.

Therefore, the film finally throws the problems that cannot be justified to the big basket of "fantasy", which can only be regarded as a kind of irresponsible rescue. It's like a person who seems to be sincere in telling you a wonderful story, but incoherent, I really can't make it up, but I have to confess that I am actually bragging, which has to be frustrating.

To some extent, it may be that Xiao Yang came from an advertising background and was not hot enough for feature film creation. In fact, following the existing general plot framework, there are several directions can save the film, the closest to the current effect is to cut all the plots of the actress, the opening of the film to take "Old Boy" five years later, the barbershop was forcibly demolished, Dabao wedding met an American customer, and was poached by the Americans to participate. Then get into trouble, the style is directly "Two Big Smoking Guns" this piece can be seen; either make a delicate expansion of the micro-film version, with the participation of supporting roles, similar to the chicken soup film such as "Little Miss Sunshine"; or delete all the emotional clues, and closely connect the tense action scenes and plots into humorous action movies like "Agent Transfer Students" or "Young Dragon and Tiger Team"; or directly talk about the transformation of the characters in the process of participating in the show, making a humorous story like "Bullets Fly Over Broadway" If it really doesn't work, it will strengthen the conflict and turn it into a copycat version of the pure secret agent film..... There is a sacrifice to have to have, all want to use force, the result is too strong, become a four different.

Said a lot of questions, slightly harsh, in fact, the advantages of the film is still quite a lot, such as those martial arts shots and scenes are very emotional, the imitation of gangster films also makes people very called, and several songs with different styles also have their own characteristics, which can indeed make people laugh. In short, from an entertainment point of view, the movie version of "Old Boy" is still very good.
