In 1929, in order to commemorate the seventieth birthday of his mother, Master Hongyi set out to extract the essence of the Huayan Sutra and re-form a catchy and profound joint sentence. Upon learning of this, his disciple Liu Zhiping found more than twenty ingots of Chen Mo made in the Qianlong year and offered them to Master Hongyi for writing these joint sentences, which took half a year to complete.

Behind Huayan Rally
It shows the good intentions of a generation of senior monks
Because of the combination of Master Hongyi's Buddhist cultivation and calligraphy skills, there was this set of "Huayan Collection of Three Hundred". In this set of works published by Liyin in 1931, Master Koichi wrote a preface by himself, frankly saying that "it is not appropriate to divide the scriptures and collect them into joint sentences", and after excerpting only a few sentences, the original meaning of the verses is difficult to guarantee that there is no deviation at all. Master Hongyi, who has always been known for his strict adherence to the precepts, knows, "It is dangerous and difficult, and the harm is more than the benefit, so send a message to the sages, and do not continue to be geng." Occasionally, if you are not careful, you will become the heavy blame of the law of slander." But why did he still do it?
In the preface, Master Hongyi said, "I hope that those who see the Ji lian will relapse into reading and studying the Huayan Canon, and take the Z ji lian as the cause to enter the Piluyuan Province, which is the one that Yu Yu hopes for." ”

Huayan Temple is located in The ShaolingYuan of Chang'an District, Xi'an, and was originally built in the Eastern Han Dynasty and reached its peak during the Sui and Tang Dynasties. The five generations of ancestors of the Huayan Sect once stationed here to spread the Dharma, and later generations used this place as the ancestral court and the fundamental dojo of the Huayan Sect. The existing stupa of Master Tang Jian Dushun and Master Chengguan in the temple has become the spiritual guide of the Trinity of the Huayan Sutra, the Huayan Sect and the Huayan Temple. Since 2007, the monastic community with Master Kuan Chang as its abbot has set out to restore the Ancestral Court of Huayan, which has now become a holy place for pilgrimages in the world's Buddhist circles, and the public has settled their souls.
