Chengdu's natural environment and humanistic environment are reflected in his poetry, especially the humanistic environment. Most of the poems Du Fu wrote in Chengdu were happy and relaxed. When he left Chengdu and went to Kuizhou, Du Fu was always recalling, and the Eight Songs of Qiuxing was recalling, "Du Fu seems to be able to survive only by relying on memories." ”

Regarding the cultural connotation of Du Fu Caotang, Professor Zhou said: "It is of great significance to the study of Du Fu in the whole country. After Du Fu wandered all his life and found his home in Chengdu, then Du Fu Caotang is a kind of spiritual settlement. After Du Fu's death for so many years, his soul was also placed in Chengdu. Although the current surviving building is from the Qing Dynasty, it has had ruins since the Northern Song Dynasty and has always been in this space. Professor Zhou admitted that he liked Du Fu very much during his undergraduate years, "I personally feel that every period has a spiritual pillar. From a purely poetic point of view, Du Fu can be said to be the greatest poet in Chinese history, but in terms of social influence, he believes that Su Shi's influence will be even greater. Du Fu only had poetry, but Su Shi "is a sea", all-encompassing, with literature and words, as well as painting, calligraphy, food, and honest government education.

Talking about the Three Su Temple, Professor Zhou said that although the time has been long, many things have changed. But after all, you can still feel the breath of Su Dongpo's life. He told a true story that made him feel very emotional. "Once, at a meeting in Chengdu one year, when an American scholar who was studying in the history department of Peking University came to the Sansu Temple, he stood in front of a cage of bamboo and stroked the bamboo for a long time. He studied art history, and now he knows that the ink bamboo in the original culture is real. Before, he had only seen it on the paintings, but now when he went to the Sansu Temple to really see such bamboo, he was very excited. That is to say, the paintings of the Northern Song Dynasty at that time had realistic elements, and the words written were sichuan bamboo. ”
