01 Train reversing operation adjustment seat
EMU trains traveling from the starting station to the terminal station are sometimes not "direct to the first line", but need to run across the line, so they need to change the direction of travel.
Taking Nanning East Railway Station as an example, Nanning East Railway Station, as the largest hub station in Guangxi, connects many railway lines such as Liunan Kezhuan and Nanguang High-speed Railway. The train runs from Guangzhou South Railway Station to Beihai Station, and on the way, it needs to transfer to the Yongbei High-speed Railway via the Nanguang High-speed Railway, which means that the train needs to change directions at Nanning East Railway Station.
Due to the fast speed, in order to improve passenger comfort, the seat direction is usually consistent with the direction of the train. Therefore, during the stopover, the train staff needs to carry out the train car preparation operation, manually adjust the direction of the seats of the whole car, and also reset the small table board, seat back, window visor, and check the missing items of passengers.
At the same time, the train driver also needs to rush to the cab at the other end of the train in time, confirm the status of each equipment on the console, and complete a number of end-change operations, and the entire end-change process takes 15 to 20 minutes.
02 Trains need to be "replenished" operations
Pick up hot water, wash your hands, flush toilets... Where does the constant water on the train come from?
In fact, each car of the EMU is equipped with a water storage tank, which can meet the water consumption of passengers for about 10 hours under normal circumstances. If there are many passengers and the water consumption is large, the train needs to "replenish water" at the stopway.
At this time, the water workers on the station used the high-pressure water pipe next to the stock road to connect the water injection pipe with the water injection port of the train, and quickly completed the water supply operation.
In addition, when the balance of meals on the train during the operation is insufficient, the train catering chief will estimate the number of meals reported according to the specific situation and apply for "additional meals". The train will replenish the meals at the designated stations to ensure that the food on board is sufficient.
03 The driver performs the transfer operation
By the end of 2020, the operating mileage of China's high-speed rail will reach 37,900 kilometers, and the mileage length and operating time of different lines will vary greatly.
In order to prevent drivers from driving fatigue, the railway department stipulates that high-speed rail drivers cannot drive for more than 4 hours continuously.
In order to facilitate the production of transport and arrange the work and rest of the driver, when the train enters another specified section from one specified section, the train driver will transfer at the interchange point of the two prescribed sections.
In this process, the driver will hand over the technical status of the EMU and reset the driving safety equipment, which also takes a certain amount of time.
