The Buddhist Tzu Chi Merit Association (Singapore) organises a Buddha Bathing Ceremony, inviting people from different religious backgrounds to participate in the Buddha Bathing Ceremony and experience the tranquility and solemnity of the Buddha Bathing Ceremony. 58 years ago, Venerable Zheng Yan founded Tzu Chi in Hualien, Taiwan. Today, Tzu Chi supports countries and regions on five continents.

On the occasion of Vesak Day, Tzu Chi hopes to take advantage of this event to lead the public to join the ranks of great love, to thank the Buddha, parents and sentient beings for the blessings of Singapore and the world.

Vesak Day is celebrated with a series of events

This year, the Singapore Buddhist Lodge will host a series of Vesak Day events~

Next week, the first thing to start is the Buddha bathing ceremony. In the afternoon, the three refuges and five precepts will be conferred, and the public will take refuge in the Three Jewels in the presence of the lay forest Sangha and officially become Buddhists. On the eve of Vesak there is a lantern puja. The transmission of the lamp is the continuity of the lamp and the flame of the lamp, which actually symbolizes the inheritance of the wisdom of Buddhism.
