At 21:19 on April 27, the Xiangshui County Transportation Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Brigade received an alarm call that a heavy-duty ship lost power due to a crankshaft fracture at the intersection of the Tongyu River and the Guan River, and requested rescue. The water area where the incident occurred is a tidal section, and it is during the high tide period, and the heavy-duty ships are pouring in one after another, which is easy to cause secondary accidents, and if it is not rescued in time, the ship is very easy to run aground and then lead to the escalation of the danger, and the crew is very anxious.
After receiving the police, the water law enforcement squadron of the brigade immediately organized the personnel on duty to drive the 066 boat of the Su Traffic Patrol to the scene. It is reported that the accident ship Xu Cargo 9600 loaded with 1,000 tons of sand sailed from Guan River to Yancheng, with two crew members on board. In order to prevent the occurrence of secondary accidents and the expansion of the danger, the duty officer issued a navigation notice as soon as possible, reminding passing ships to strengthen lookout when sailing through the waters, and the driver on duty to keep high-frequency and unobstructed, and required ships in distress to set up warning lights around the ship to remind passing ships to slow down and detour through high frequency. At the same time, the nearby Xingyu 969 ship and the Su Jiao Patrol 066 boat were coordinated to tow the ship in distress away from the water area where the incident occurred, and the law enforcement boat carried out vigilance and guidance, and coordinated the Xiangshui lock to provide assistance for the ship to enter the lock.
