On April 20, the opening ceremony of the 14th National Fitness Games of Linyi City and the 8th 10,000-person fitness walk of the "Housing Group Cup" were held in Beicheng New District, Linyi, and more than 300 volunteers from the Yimeng Volunteer Service Center of Baishabu Town, Yihe New District actively participated in the whole activity.
The event was hosted by the Municipal People's Government, the Propaganda Department of the Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Working Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Municipal Red Cross, the Municipal Public Security Bureau, the Municipal Urban Administration, the Municipal Health Commission, the Municipal Emergency Management Bureau, the Municipal Sports Bureau and other 10 units, the Municipal Sports Association, Shandong Housing Industry Group Co., Ltd. Planning and implementation, a total of more than 12,000 enthusiastic citizens from all walks of life in the city and 24 teams of various industry systems participated. The distance of the activity is 6.2 kilometers from Wuzhouhu Square (starting point→ Beijing Road→ Binhe West Road→ Yihe Road→ Fuzuo Road→ Zhuansheng Road→ Linyi Cultural Center South Square (end point). The theme of this event is "National Fitness, Sharing Provincial Transportation". It fully demonstrates the purpose of "I exercise, I am healthy, and I am happy" of the general public, effectively enhances the influence and reputation of the national fitness walking activity, and creates a strong atmosphere for Linyi City to host the 26th Shandong Provincial Games in 2026.
Facing the warm spring breeze and stepping on a strong pace, we pay tribute to the theme of national fitness by walking, express the public's yearning for a better sports life, and promote youthful vitality. Along the way, the majority of Yimeng volunteers were divided into six sequences, and under the leadership of the team leader, the steps were sonorous and consistent, and the slogans of "Great Love Linyi", "Great Love Yimeng" and "Everyone Has Love" were loudly shouted, which resounded on both sides of the Yihe River. Zhang Daoming, the person in charge of the Yimeng Volunteer Service Center, introduced that the sports meeting was the one with the largest number of volunteers participating, not only the old faces who participated on time for seven consecutive sessions, but also the rising rookies who participated for the first time, which fully demonstrated the youthful vitality and beautiful demeanor of the volunteers in Baishabu Town.
