2024 Chengde National Reading Series Activities

In this season of warm spring breeze and full of greenery, Chengde Library successfully held the Chengde National Reading Series "The Most Beautiful Mother's Day, Mom I Love You" Children's Reading and Painting Workshop (3) on May 12, 2024. The event attracted the enthusiastic participation of many parents and children. The purpose of the activity is to let children understand the greatness of mother's love more deeply through reading and painting, and learn to be grateful and express themselves through personal participation. At the same time, it also provides a platform for children to show their creativity and talents.

On the day of the event, the Chengde City Library was filled with a warm and warm atmosphere. The children listened to the warm and touching story brought by Mr. Cui from the Youbei Parent-Child Library, so that the children could feel the selflessness and greatness of mother's love in the story. It also taught mothers and children to be more understanding and tolerant. Next, the children expressed their love for their mothers through drawing and writing. They drew the image of their mother in their minds on paper, and wrote down their blessings and gratitude to their mother in words. In order to make the children's blessings more intuitive and vivid, the event also set up a love balloon link. Each child wrote their blessings and gratitude to their mother on a love balloon. These balloons are brought together to form a spectacular wall of love balloons. In front of the love wall, the children collectively shouted "Happy Mother's Day, Mom, Mom, I love you!" The slogan conveys the most sincere blessings and gratitude to the mother with practical actions.
