The University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the "University"), affiliated to the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, is a high-level research liberal arts university characterized by the integration of science and education. The university brings together the disciplines, talents and resources of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and currently has 13 integrated science and education colleges with bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees, and nearly 20 undergraduate majors, involving philosophy, economics, law, literature, history, management and other categories; at present, the university has 16 first-level disciplines for doctoral degrees and 17 first-level disciplines for master's degrees. There are 124 second-level disciplines for doctoral degrees, 132 second-level disciplines for master's degrees, and 12 master's degree programs in finance, law, social work, cultural relics, museums, journalism and communication, etc.

Admissions Policy in Beijing

At present, the undergraduate majors of the school involve six categories: philosophy, economics, law, literature, history, and management. Since the Ministry of Education implemented the "Double Ten Thousand Plan" for the construction of first-class undergraduate majors, all 16 undergraduate majors offered by our university have been selected into the "Double Ten Thousand Plan" for the construction of first-class undergraduate majors, including 13 national first-class undergraduate majors and 3 provincial first-class undergraduate majors. In 2023, the overall undergraduate enrollment scale of our university will be 400, and the enrollment of 10 majors in Beijing includes 10 majors: economics, international economics and trade, law, sociology, international affairs and international relations, Chinese language and literature, English, French, journalism and communication (including journalism, radio and television), and history, with a total of 20 students enrolled. In 2024, the school plans to add a number of majors such as archaeology, and please pay attention to the follow-up enrollment plan for specific provincial enrollment information. Most of the majors in our school are not limited to elective subjects, and the requirements for elective subjects will be slightly adjusted in 2024, and among all the enrolled majors, political science and administration, international affairs and international relations, ideological and political education, and Marxist theory require political subjects. Characteristics of the school's talent training

The University of Social Sciences has established an undergraduate academic tutor system. The tutors are mainly from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and other experts and scholars, and each tutor supervises 2-5 students. Most of the supervisors are master's and doctoral supervisors, who provide guidance from various aspects such as study, life and development planning. The school deepens the international training of students and provides students with diversified international education. On the basis of the implementation of the national public program, the establishment of a two-level overseas training program at the school and college levels, and the establishment of a special scholarship support, "global top 50 overseas university alumni guidance" and overseas university propaganda and other full-process service guarantee system. At the same time, it introduces global talents with high standards, and invites world-renowned experts and scholars, including Nobel laureates in economics, former Italian Prime Ministers, and academicians of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, to carry out a series of academic lectures on "Global Vision Lecture Hall" for teachers and students. The school's undergraduate education adopts the elite education model, with small class teaching, and the number of students enrolled in each major is stable at about 15-40. Admission principles are referenced

1. When our school admits candidates to arrange majors, the principle of score priority is implemented, and they are ranked according to the total score of the college entrance examination (excluding additional points). There is no professional grade difference, and there is no need for separate interviews and physical examinations. 2. In the batch of parallel voluntary enrollment of our school, the proportion of file increase is generally 100%, if the candidate obeys the adjustment within the professional group, it will not be withdrawn after the file. Brief introduction of the School of Journalism and Communication

The School of Journalism and Communication of the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences is led by the Institute of Journalism and Communication of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, based on the Department of Journalism and Communication of the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, established in 1978, and integrating the teaching resources of the School of Media of the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

The faculty of the college is strong, with 68 teachers, 22 professors, 32 associate professors, 14 doctoral supervisors and 50 master's supervisors. The school has a solid foundation for academic research and a broad platform for development. It hosts the top journal in the field of journalism and communication in China, "Journalism and Communication Research", and has established 5 laboratories such as the Convergence Media Laboratory and the Non-Linear Editing Laboratory, 1 provincial and ministerial research center, 8 research centers at the institute or university level, 2 national research bases and 1 think tank.

The School has carried out discipline co-construction with the School of Journalism of Chinese University, and jointly established the Yangtze River Delta Intelligent Communication Research Institute with Zhejiang University of Media and Communication. At the same time, it will create special brand activities such as international joint teaching week, constructive journalism workshop, and excellent journalism and communication talent training camp.
