On May 1, Dr. Yue Hongbin of the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and Wang Liangtian, vice president of the Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology of Shangqiu City, and more than 10 people were invited to the gecheng site in Ningling County to conduct archaeological investigation.

The purpose of this survey is to find out the overall layout and continuation of the ancient Geguo capital site, which is of great historical significance for exploring and studying the origin of the first Shang, the geographical outlook of Bo, and the route of the Shang Tang Dynasty.

Professor Yue Hongbin graduated from Shandong University and the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences with a doctorate. He has participated in and presided over the archaeological excavation and research of erlitou ruins, Yanshi Shangcheng, Huanbei Shangcheng and Yin Ruins, focusing on Xia Shang archaeology and three generations of bronze research. He is currently a researcher at the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the secretary general of the Xia Shang Special Committee of the Chinese Archaeological Society, the vice president of the China Yin Shang Cultural Society, and the director of the Yin Ruins Research Committee of the China Yin Shang Cultural Society.
