On April 11, the TCM nursing clinic of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University was officially opened on the third floor of the outpatient clinic. This is another new measure for the hospital to give full play to the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine, improve the clinical application of traditional Chinese medicine nursing technology, and help the construction of a flagship of traditional Chinese and Western medicine synergy.
Tang Tao, director of the Department of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, and Yue Liqing, director of the Nursing Department, jointly unveiled the plaque and delivered speeches, sending a message on the prospect of the outpatient work of traditional Chinese medicine nursing. Luo Jiekun, deputy director of the Department of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, Zhang Chunhu, deputy director of the Department of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, Li Jun, deputy director of the Nursing Department, and Zhou Yang, deputy director of the Department of Nursing attended the unveiling ceremony, which was presided over by Han Huiwu, the head nurse of the department.
Huang Jun, the head nurse of the TCM nursing clinic, reported on the preparation and construction of the TCM nursing clinic, and Li Jun and Zhou Yang, deputy directors, commented and gave guidance on the relevant work system and key links of quality control and the construction of talent echelon of the specialist nursing clinic.
The TCM nursing clinic is to move the TCM nursing service from the ward to the outpatient, so that the outpatient and discharged patients can enjoy continuous, standardized and high-quality TCM nursing services, maximize the advantages of TCM nursing, improve the medical experience of patients, and further build a TCM nursing care model for the whole course and life cycle.
The TCM nursing clinic will give full play to the advantages of TCM nursing technology in disease symptom management, rehabilitation and health preservation, and will be provided by senior professional nursing staff with appropriate, proficient and professional TCM characteristic nursing and external treatment techniques, as well as TCM diet, daily life, emotional regulation and other TCM health care guidance.

At present, there are 22 nurses in the nursing team of the Department of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, more than 90% of whom have a bachelor's degree, 19 nurses in charge and above, and 3 nurses. The nursing team has strengthened basic nursing and paid attention to the development of specialist nursing, and has successively trained 1 specialist nurse for static therapy, 1 specialist nurse for rehabilitation, and 2 specialist nurses for TCM treatment of the Chinese Nursing Association.
The nursing team has set up a unique TCM nursing clinic and Internet + TCM nursing home visits. On the basis of moxibustion, dragon jar, copper head scraping, auricular acupoint therapy, acupoint therapy, acupoint application, Chinese medicine umbilical cord therapy, Chinese medicine rubbing, and Chinese medicine fumigation, the TCM nursing clinic has innovatively carried out a new type of syndrome differentiation and nutrition care technology combining traditional Chinese and Western medicine, so as to provide patients with personalized TCM diet and nutrition plan.
The nursing team adheres to clinical care, and a guidance team composed of medical experts from traditional Chinese medicine and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine provides technical guidance and timely referral. The nursing team, led by specialist nurses, continuously optimizes the work process of the department, improves the working methods, improves the specialized nursing system, formulates nursing routines with specialist characteristics, and continuously improves the quality of nursing, so that patients can receive more standardized, professional and safe care.
