Intensified anti-corruption efforts: Vietnamese President Vo Van Thuong resigns

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) held a meeting on March 20 and approved the resignation of Vietnamese President Vo Van Thanh.

In March last year, Nguyen Xuan Phuc abruptly resigned as Vietnam's president and was replaced by a young Vo Van Thuong. A year later, Wu Wenxian also resigned.

In the past two years, two presidents have resigned, two vice premiers have been taken down, and 4 of the 18 members of the 13th Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam have resigned due to corruption!
