On the afternoon of January 19, the kick-off meeting of the "Trauma Treatment Center Construction and Equipment Configuration" standard (hereinafter referred to as the "standard") was successfully held online, and nearly 50 people from hospitals, design institutes and equipment manufacturers attended the meeting.

In view of the complexity of trauma treatment centers and the lack of experience in current hardware construction and equipment configuration, it is necessary to compile a standard for the construction and equipment configuration of trauma treatment centers, which will provide reference and guidance for hospitals, design institutes and equipment manufacturers, and is of great significance in promoting the construction of a trauma treatment system with strong pertinence, high degree of integration of various specialties, rapid response and efficiency, improving the level of medical diagnosis and treatment and treatment capacity of trauma centers, and more effectively ensuring medical quality and safety.

In the process of undertaking the construction of the "first line of rescue" trauma treatment center, it is necessary to scientifically plan the plane layout, reasonably carry out functional partitioning, improve and optimize the medical process, and scientifically configure the rescue equipment, so as to provide a rapid diagnosis and treatment channel for trauma patients in response to special events and major events, improve the quality of treatment, and ensure life safety.

The compilation of the "Standards" will solve the problems and deficiencies exposed in the construction of trauma treatment centers, standardize the construction and equipment allocation, further promote the establishment of a regional trauma emergency system, and is of great significance to improve the ability of trauma treatment, reduce the mortality and disability rate of trauma patients, improve the quality and efficiency of trauma treatment and ensure the quality and safety of medical care.

Towards the end of the meeting, Hou Zhiyong, President of the Third Hospital of Hebei Medical University, made a summary of the meeting. He said that under the guidance of the association, the successful convening of the kick-off meeting created a good start for the overall compilation work, and hoped that the main writers of each chapter would integrate the patient-centered treatment concept into each chapter of the "Standard" according to the discussion content of the meeting, including the process flow, building construction, equipment configuration and other details, so as to give full play to the role of the trauma treatment center as the "golden rescue front line".
The kick-off meeting completed the set goals and laid the foundation for the orderly progress of the next step.
