The Curiosity rover recently spotted a familiar symbol on Mars – the Starfleet emblem from the Star Trek franchise. The image was taken on January 9, the 4062nd day of the mission, by the rover's left-hand navigation camera.
Curiosity landed on Mars on August 5, 2012, and continues to search tirelessly for life on the Red Planet.
