John Mearsheimer, a professor of political science at the University of Chicago in the United States, said in response to the Sino-US contradictions: China has developed into the way it is now, and the United States has shown signs that it cannot be suppressed. Now that the overall situation in the world is very unfavorable to the United States, China has moved the cake of the United States at both the military and economic levels, and the United States will certainly step up cooperation with its allies in the Asia-Pacific region and do its utmost to suppress China's development.
Professor Mei believes that although the United States has been using the Taiwan issue to contain China, to be honest, there will be a war between China and the United States in the future, but it must not be because of Taiwan. A small Taiwan is just a small one, and it can't affect the grievances between the two big countries.
The professor's words are translated as: Don't look at the fact that the United States has made a lot of promises to Taiwan, encouraging them to oppose China and carry out "Taiwan independence" to the end, in fact, the United States does not take Taiwan seriously at all, and the real cause of the Sino-US war will only be a matter between the two big powers, and it has nothing to do with Taiwan, and the United States will not put itself in danger for the sake of one Taiwan.
Why is it said that China has moved the two cakes of the United States?
First of all, from the military level, the mainland's fighter planes were not only relatively backward when the country was founded, but the problem was that the number was not enough, so that it had to turn around and fly again at the founding ceremony.
The mainland has more than 200 J-20s, which are the mainland's most advanced fifth-generation stealth fighters. According to the speed of the mainland's military industry, dozens of J-20s can be manufactured every year.
And what about the United States? Although the F-22 is very advanced, it has long been discontinued. As for the F-35 fifth-generation fighter, it is full of problems in the service process, and it cannot be compared with the mainland's J-20 at all.

In terms of navy, although the United States has 11 aircraft carriers, the mainland has only three, and the 003 aircraft carrier has not yet been formally tested at sea. However, there are actually only a few aircraft carriers that the United States can really get its hands on, and the mainland's 003 aircraft carrier can completely rival the most powerful "Ford" aircraft carrier in the United States. At the economic level, the United States has always relied on the dollar to control other countries, but China's RMB status has gradually risen, which has affected the economic status of the US dollar.
What's more, the U.S. is now heavily indebted, inflationary, and under huge economic pressures, and extremely dependent on China for some trade. On the other hand, although China's domestic employment rate has remained high due to the impact of the epidemic, China's domestic economic pressure is not so great compared to the United States, which is also the most angry part of the United States.
Taiwan will not be the ultimate cause of the outbreak of contradictions between China and the United States
The United States can dominate the world mainly by relying on the dollar and the military. But now that China has the upper hand on both fronts, and at one point was on the verge of overtaking the United States, how can it reassure the United States?
The United States wants to contain China's development, and according to China's current strength, the two countries will have a war sooner or later. But that's not what China wants to see, and it's not what the United States can do now. After all, the United States has carried out military exercises against China every once in a while, but the result is the same every time - defeat.
If the United States loses the war, it will inevitably fall from the number one position in the world, and this is absolutely not allowed by the United States. Therefore, the United States will not go to war with China in the short term, but this does not mean that the United States will not look for opportunities to contain China's development, and Taiwan and Indo-Pacific allies are the best cards of the United States.
Especially in Taiwan, countries such as Japan, the Philippines, South Korea, and Australia will be hit hard if they are really in a hurry, and China will hit it hard. But in the face of Taiwan, it will not work, because this land is inhabited by our compatriots, even if the PLA wants to recover Taiwan, the attack on Taiwan will not be very strong, which gives the United States the opportunity to intervene in it and let the war fall into a stalemate, so as to contain China like Russia, so that China's economy will be dragged down by the war and can no longer catch up with the United States.
I have to say that the idea of the United States is really good, but it cannot be realized. Just as Professor Mei said, Taiwan is unlikely to be the ultimate cause of the outbreak of contradictions between China and the United States, and at most it is just a small spark.
Moreover, if the PLA is determined to take Taiwan, it does not need to attack Taiwan with all its might. With the strength of the PLA, it is completely possible to blockade Taiwan and complete reunification in the shortest possible time, so the US plan is doomed to fail. Whether the United States wants to use Taiwan to contain China or use its Indo-Pacific allies to contain China, it shows that the United States is no longer able to deal with China on its own.
