When Ogawa was a newcomer manga artist, the editor in charge of the editorial department of the manga magazine Weekly Shonen Magazine wanted me to draw a manga set in China, and he suggested to me, "Why don't you try to draw a manga with Chinese cuisine?" "That's why I started drawing this comic.

——After more than 20 years, what is the opportunity to restart the animation? What is Mr. Ogawa's biggest feeling?

Although I have received many times that I want to "Zhonghua Yiban! "" was adapted into an anime again, but every time it came and went quickly, and this time it was finally able to achieve it, which made me feel a lot of emotions.

——How did the teacher participate in the creation of the new animation? Is there anything impressive about it that you can share with you?
Ogawa first showed me the story outline written by the director and screenwriter, and then the specific settings such as storyboarding, character design and background, so as to put forward some of my feelings and hopes, and also visited the recording site.
What impressed me the most was that when I specified the color scheme of Ren and Lu, it was gray and green, and I tried a variety of options and considered it for a long time. Obviously, I have the clearest impression of the characters, but it is still difficult to make a decision, which is incredible.
——Does Mr. Ogawa himself know anything about cooking? Where did you learn about the cuisine in your work?
Although I like Chinese food, I didn't know much about it at first.
Mainly by buying a lot of related books to learn, taste the food, and discuss with the editor. If it works, I'll ask my mother to help me make it.
——Which dish of Ogawa's favorite (most wanted) work? Have you tried to make these dishes in your work?

At that time, Ogawa mainly went to the familiar Chinese restaurant to collect materials, and the content of the materials was published in the serial magazines of the time.
Others are to eat and learn from these restaurants about the topic of cuisine. I remember at one store, we specifically asked the store not to make a very special bamboo dish for us according to the menu, and the head chef said, "Which guy made such a strange request?" He also sneaked to his seat and glanced at it.
——I remember that there was a small talk in the single book before, Mr. Ogawa used to teach in the cram school, saw the students reading comics very angry, and said that it was better to memorize two more words than to have that work, and now he has become a cartoonist... I wonder how he feels about the profession of cartoonist now?
Ogawa, you misunderstood, I just said what I should say as a cram school teacher, of course, I didn't get angry (laughs).
In fact, I was trying to become a cartoonist and save up for my living expenses.
Comics have a variety of themes, hiding the potential of various expressions, and are a very good art. And the profession of cartoonist who carries this art is a very dreamy job.

The design of this new animation can see the human side of the character designer, and I like it very much by designing Ah Hao and others to be so cute.
