Industrial design software is the key support for the data source of digital production and intelligent manufacturing. In recent years, under the guidance and drive of national policies, a number of influential software companies have emerged in China, which have continued to grow rapidly in the process of industrial digital transformation. Guangzhou ZWT Software Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "ZWSOFT"), which is deeply engaged in the research and development of design industrial software, is one of the representative enterprises.

Independent innovation, hard work "internal strength"
At present, the mainland has the most complete industrial system, and the industrial production capacity and export scale have been in the leading position in the world, and the data show that the added value of the mainland's manufacturing industry accounts for more than 28% of the global share. However, the digital transformation and high-quality development of China's industry require more technological innovation and breakthroughs in industrial design software.
ZWSOFT is the first listed R&D and design industrial software company in China, providing integrated CAx solutions for global manufacturing and construction industry users. Based on its fully independent and controllable core technology, ZWSOFT provides global customers with a variety of software and services such as CAD, CAM, CAE, etc., helping them reduce costs and increase efficiency, and achieve digital transformation.
Liu Yufeng introduced that as a typical representative of China's industrial software companies, ZWSOFT has been the first overseas export of China's industrial software since 2004, and has 20 years of experience in going overseas. At present, ZWSOFT provides solutions in 15 languages, operates in more than 90 countries and regions, and has more than 1.4 million genuine users worldwide.
In the field of industrial software, such "prejudice" often occurs - when domestic engineers mention CAD, they have been equated with AutoCAD by default. Commonly used industrial design software has been occupied and monopolized by foreign products for a long time.
In order to regain the leading power of industrial development and master the core technology of industrial design software, the ZWSOFT team has been "practicing hard internal skills" again and again, overcoming the "bottleneck", and in 2002, the first generation of ZWCAD platform was launched, breaking the situation that the field of 2D CAD software in mainland China is dominated by Europe and the United States. In 2010, ZWSOFT entered the field of 3D CAD/CAM.
Independent innovation, hard practice of "internal strength". Adhering to the path of independent R&D and innovation, ZWSOFT finally has the strength to compete with international software giants.
Today, ZWSOFT has developed into the first domestic industrial software manufacturer in China that spans 2D CAD, 3D CAD/CAM and simulation CAE. In terms of key core technologies, ZWSOFT has its own 3D geometric modeling kernel, which makes it possible for China's industrial software to get rid of its dependence on foreign technologies.
From "going out" to "going in"
In Liu Yufeng's view, ZWSOFT has also faced challenges in the process of going global.
"The first is the challenge of brand awareness. The industrial software giants in the overseas market have decades of brand precipitation and accumulation, and the popularity of their products is generally high. ZWSOFT requires a large investment in effective brand building and precise marketing promotion in order to gain a foothold in international competition. Liu Yufeng said.
In the early days of going global, ZWSOFT faced difficulties caused by differences in language, culture, and management styles between different countries in terms of global talent recruitment, talent integration, and talent management. "In the face of the vast overseas market, ZWSOFT cannot succeed alone. How to quickly find suitable ecological partners, build trust with partners, and achieve a win-win situation, especially in the early stage of going overseas, is a difficult task. Liu Yufeng recalled.
In addition, ZWSOFT needs to be rooted in the local area, have in-depth insight into the target market, and carry out localized business activities according to the actual local situation, so as to ensure that it can meet the requirements of local customers for products and services, and realize the transformation from "going out" to "going out", and at the same time, it must also ensure that it operates legally and compliantly in the local area, which puts forward higher requirements for the company's business control and functional support capabilities.
"In recent years, ZW's overseas business has made good progress. In the future, we will continue to firmly carry out the global localization business layout, recruit global industrial software talents, strengthen market coverage through marketing and channel two-wheel drive, improve our service level in key markets, and build a win-win and sustainable industrial software ecosystem. Liu Yufeng said.
Seize the opportunity and develop the "number"
Trade in services is an important part of international trade, and the service industry is an important area of international economic and trade cooperation. In 2020, Guangzhou was approved by the State Council to carry out a pilot project to comprehensively deepen the innovative development of trade in services. At the end of the three-year pilot program this year, Guangzhou's high-quality development of trade in services has taken solid steps and achieved positive results.
"As a pilot for the innovative development of trade in services, Guangzhou has taken the lead in promulgating digital economy regulations to promote the rapid development of digital trade, providing a rare opportunity and platform for enterprises to invest in new formats and new models, and also opening the door of opportunities for our enterprises. Liu Yufeng said.
In his view, the Guangzhou Municipal Government responded to the call for the innovation and development of the national trade in services, and timely introduced a comprehensive pilot task list for the expansion and opening up of the service industry, covering various fields such as science and technology, culture, commerce and trade, and formulated comprehensive and meticulous support policies from the levels of innovation, finance, talent, legislation, etc., and achieved active implementation and warm-hearted service, so as to solve problems for the development of service trade, and is a powerful helper and solid backing for enterprises to solve problems.
The pilot has also created a broader space for Guangzhou enterprises to deepen cooperation in service trade with Belt and Road partners in the Middle East and Central Asia.
