Winter is the mating period for Tibetan antelopes. During the three-week mating period, the Tibetan antelopes in the Qiangtang National Nature Reserve are male and female, and the males chase and fight for the right to mate. Outside of the mating period, males do not mix with females.
Located in the northern part of the Tibet Autonomous Region, the Qiangtang National Nature Reserve is known as the "Paradise of Wild Animals" for its intact and unique alpine ecosystem and a variety of large ungulates.
