On May 15, 2019, the United States announced that Huawei could not use the EDA of the American factory and Google's GMS, but Huawei could continue to use the EDA it had purchased for chip design, put Huawei on the entity list, and restrict American companies from providing services to Huawei.
On May 15, 2020, the United States announced that manufacturers that use EDA technology to produce chips (such as TSMC and SMIC) can no longer make chips for Huawei;
On August 17, 2020, the United States announced that companies that produce chips based on American technology or software (such as MTK and Samsung) cannot make chips for Huawei.
In early April 2021, the United States restricted Huawei's device suppliers from allowing the chips they supplied to appear on Huawei's 5G equipment as long as they involve products with U.S. technology.
At 22:14 on September 25, 2021, Meng Wanzhou arrived safely at Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, and the Chinese side thwarted the US-Canada conspiracy with the ending of "waiting at the lighthouse and returning home at night".
In early February 2023, the United States is planning to pass legislation to cut off Huawei's supply relationship with all American companies, directly disrupting Huawei's supply chain. Further restrictions on all shipments of products from U.S. companies such as Qualcomm and Intel to Huawei will be expanded to 4G chips, WiFi chips, AI chips, etc., in addition to 5G chips.
