Joseph S. President R. Biden today met with Wang Yi, Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the People's Republic of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The President emphasized that both the United States and China need to responsibly manage competition in their relationship and keep lines of communication open. In particular, he noted that the United States and China must work together to address global challenges.
President Biden expressed his condolences over the death of the former prime minister.
