Huasheng Village has a long history of peach cultivation. In recent years, relying on location advantages and rich planting experience, the local government has continuously expanded the scale of planting and focused on creating a high-quality pollen peach demonstration park.
In the peach orchard of Chen Rizhong, a villager in Huasheng Village, fresh peaches are either hidden behind leaves or hung high on branches. Citizens and tourists are picking out their favorite peaches.
Chen Rizhong is an experienced "old man" in the village who grows peaches, and in his opinion, the only trick to growing peaches is "diligent and sincere". Under his careful cultivation, his peach orchard area has developed to 16 acres, with an annual income of 120,000 yuan.
"Peach production is good, the price is good, and now one mu of land can earn 10,000 yuan." Chen Rizhong said.
It is understood that Huasheng Village focuses on the development of the boutique peach industry, and has established the Huasheng Xian Peach Planting Farmers Professional Cooperative, which will carry out unified operation management, technical services, agricultural supply, brand creation and product sales of peach orchards, and guide villagers to join the ranks of peach tree planting and open up new space for increasing income.
Nowadays, Huasheng Village has explored a set of integrated planting techniques from self-breeding of seedlings, fine management of the field, shaping and pruning of peach trees, to self-production and self-marketing of products. The varieties of peach trees planted include Beijing red peach, rain flower peach, rain flower dew peach, chiyang peach, etc., and the mature fresh peach is large, good color and good taste, which is deeply loved by consumers.
"Through vigorously developing the peach industry, we have driven the transformation and upgrading of the whole village fruit industry, improved quality and efficiency, and the current planting area of fresh peaches in the village has reached 480 mu, and the yield per mu has reached 5,000 jin." Zhang Jihai, secretary of the party branch and director of the village committee of Huasheng Village, said.
