The drill was based on the assumption of a suspected African swine fever epidemic in a pig farm, and the emergency response was initiated in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Animal Epidemic Prevention Law, the Emergency Regulations for Major Animal Epidemics, the Emergency Response Plan for Sudden Major Animal Epidemics in Gansu Province, and the Emergency Plan for Sudden Major Animal Epidemics in Wuwei City. The drill was divided into three major subjects: diagnosis and early treatment of epidemic reports, emergency response and emergency treatment, and termination of emergency response and aftermath, involving case discovery, on-site inspection, technical consultation, epidemic reporting, command and coordination, implementation of disinfection, epidemic disposal, emergency response and emergency disposal.
