The Faroe Islands (Faroese: Føroyar, Danish: Færøerne, English: Faroe) are Denmark's overseas autonomous territories. Since 30 January 1975, separate stamps have been issued (previously Danish stamps were usually stamped with postage), the first set of nine stamps consisted of maps and the scenery of the archipelago, and I now have only the first three stamps in the set - maps, of which 5 kroner and 50 kroner were maps of the archipelago drawn in 1673.
