Absolutely beautiful. Dreams. The pursuit of conspiracies...

Before the portrait of Ludwig II, I looked closely into his eyes: clear, bright, clean, shining with childlike childishness and innocence.

No wonder the German opera writer Wagner, after meeting the handsome and dashing Bavarian king for the first time, wrote this memory:

Today, I was led to meet him. He was hopelessly handsome, intelligent, enthusiastic and elegant. So much so that I fear that in this earthly world, his life will pass away like a beautiful dream...

However, Ludwig's life came to an abrupt end when he was 41 years old. His untimely death left Empress of Austria, Ludwig's cousin, Elisabeth Smith. Ameli. Eugenie, the beautiful Princess Sissi in the movie, fainted in front of his coffin. A journalist at the time reported that when she opened her eyes again and could speak, she insisted that the king be removed from the coffin. She said the king did not die at all, but did so on purpose.

On the shores of the Alps, on a road called Romantic Avenue, I looked out my car window at Neuschwanstein Castle on the hill in the distance. Known as "the most beautiful castle in Europe", Disneyland's castle architecture is inspired by the design of Swan Castle. When I tried to describe the castle in words, I felt extremely poor in words, like waking up from a dream and hoping to return to the dream. Before entering the interior of this magical castle, I first came to a long bridge on the hill behind Swan Castle, which can see the overall shape of the entire building of Swan Castle, and can also see the large panorama of its combination with mountains, lakes and plains. Here you will pay heartfelt tribute to this "most beautiful, holy, inaccessible, noble temple of God's friends."

To borrow Wagner's view of Swan Castle: as long as you are immersed in the scene, you can grab it at will, it is pure poetry, and there is no smoke stained by the slightest.

It is said that Ludwig's favorite flower was the cyan frangipani, which was the color of his boy's eyes. What are these eyes longing for? It is to move the building block shape that I played with as a child to the Alps; It is the invention of a "flying universal car" flying machine that can freely cross the lofty mountains of the Alps; It is a grand dream to move the French Palace of Versailles into its own kingdom; is to imagine yourself as brave and fearless as a knight of the Holy Grail; It is a fantastic dream that brings the scenes of the opera to life in the palace; It is for the pursuit of art, preferring to be infatuated and detached for a lifetime.

Ludwig sat on the throne of Bavaria at the age of 18, and playing politics at such a grade undoubtedly killed many of his childhood dreams. The young king, disgusted by the hypocrisy and monotony of the court, pretended to be deaf to the crow clamor of the parliament. That childlike heart finally created Neuschwanstein Castle, a fairytale building on earth. Before the castle was fully decorated, Ludwig often stayed alone in the castle and fantasized about it, ignoring the accusations made at him by the court council. As a result, he was deposed from the throne. The reason was that the king had an incurable form of paranoia. As a result, Ludwig was placed under house arrest at the Great Goose Castle Palace.

Late one night, several people took the former king out of Swan Castle and hurried away. A week later, his body floated on the surface of Lake Stabel, and the conclusion was, of course, suicide. The first to propose this view was his uncle, Prince Luitepold. This scene played out in history is exactly the same as the plot of Shakespeare's "Hamlet".

Alas, as the head of all things, it is human instinct that human beings, as the primate of all things, have created such a brilliant and magnificent civilized world because of their natural appreciation and pursuit of beauty. Who doesn't know that beauty can bring pleasure and enjoyment to the body and mind. However, people also need to know that the world is also made up of "evil quadrilaterals", and evil is also the force that drives the progress of the world. It is easy for people to deal with beauty, get along with evil, and use the role of evil to produce civilized and beautiful things, that is the mission of politicians. Ludwig, disgusted with intrigue, war, brutality, and political transactions, tried to embed his kingdom with pure beauty and art, and finally brought the Bavarian kingdom to Prussian rule and buried his own life.

Tragedy is the destruction of beautiful things for people to see, and Ludwig's life is not so much a tragedy of character as the law of the iron curtain of worldly laws of survival.

So I also imagined how politicians and conspirators felt when they looked at Ludwig's portrait, and they probably wondered whether such a naïve king could ask questions about the complicated political situation, could he bow down to the clouds and rain, could he restrain his desires by obeying complicated court etiquette, could he deal with a swindling struggle and nothing happened, could he come to the world with despotic tactics to put dissidents to death, and could he use chips and intrigues to gain advantage in war. Obviously, apart from his fascination with opera and architecture, the king could not bring any opportunities and benefits to the country and its vested interests. He belonged only to himself, a world of exclusive beauty, a world that made him feel happy and comfortable, and thus forged the tragedy of his life, because he was not an artist, he was a king. When he used his power to realize his artistic dreams instead of national dreams, he was seen as a madman.

I saw paragliders flying like eagles over Swan Castle. At that time, Princess Sisi praised the king in her poems as an eagle on the top of a mountain. I think no matter who it is, they don't want to be locked in a cage, whether it's the cage of life or the cage of thought.

Today, on the shores of Lake Steinberg, stands an iron cross. The waters of the lake sparkle, the reeds sway gently in the breeze, and the mottled shadows merge into the ethereal song of the choir, chanting a mournful and holy and eternal melody. After sunset, the cross, like a ghost, spreads its wings and flies to the Swan Castle on a nearby hill, where, there is a winter fairy tale.
