Luo Zifu is a native of Pizhou, Shaanxi. His parents died very early, and from the age of eight or nine, he was raised by his uncle Luo Daye. Luo Daye is an official of Guozijian, his family is very wealthy but has no heirs, he cherishes Luo Zifu very much and treats him as his own son.

At the age of fourteen, Luo Zifu was tempted by bad people and indulged in looking for flowers and willows. At that time, there was a prostitute from Jinling who lived in Pizhou, and Luo Zifu liked her very much and was deeply confused. When the prostitute returned to Jinling, Luo Zifu also secretly followed her out of the house. He lived in the prostitute's house for half a year, and when all the money he had brought with him was spent, he began to be ridiculed and rejected by the prostitutes, but he was not immediately kicked out of the brothel.

Soon, Luo Zifu contracted a venereal disease, his lower body festered, and the filthy pus covered the bed mat, and the prostitutes finally swept him out of the house. Luo Zifu was sick and penniless, and became a beggar, begging from people in the market, and people were afraid to avoid him when they saw him from afar. Luo Zifu was worried that he would die in a foreign country, so he traveled all the way west, begging for food while going to his hometown. He could walk about thirty or forty miles a day, and day after day, he gradually came to the boundary of Pizhou. Seeing his tattered clothes and festering abscesses, he felt that he was really shameless to see his relatives, and finally lingered in a neighboring county near Pizhou.

One evening, Luo Zifu planned to spend the night in a temple in the mountains. In front of the mountain, he met a woman of extraordinary beauty, like a fairy in the sky. When Luo Zifu approached, she asked, "Where are you going?" and Luo Zifu told her the truth. The woman said, "I am a monk, and there is a cave where I live, so you can stay and not be afraid of tigers and wolves at all." Luo Zifu was very happy and followed her.

When I walked into the mountains, I saw a big cave, and after entering the cave, I found that there was a small stream in front of the cave door, and there was a small stone bridge over the stream. A few steps further into the cave, there were two stone chambers, and the room was so bright that there was no need to light a lamp or hold a candle. The woman asked Luo Zifu to take off his tattered clothes and go to the stream to take a bath, and said, "Wash it, and the rotten sores on your body will naturally heal." After Luo Zifu bathed, the woman lifted the curtain again, laid out the futon, urged him to go to bed early, and said, "Hurry up and go to sleep, I will make you a trolover." So saying, he took a large leaf like a banana leaf, and used it to cut and sew clothes for clothes, and Luo Zifu lay on the bed and watched her do it. After a while, when the clothes were ready, the woman folded them and put them on the head of his bed, and said, "Put them on when you get up early tomorrow morning." Then the woman fell asleep on the bed opposite him. After Luo Zi floated in the stream and bathed, the ulcers on his body no longer hurt. He woke up from his dream in the middle of the night, and when he touched the sores on his body, they were all covered with a thick layer of scabs.

The next morning, Luo Zifu was about to get up, and when he remembered the clothes made of banana leaves next to the bed, he couldn't help but be a little suspicious. After a while, it's time for breakfast. The woman took some leaves from the mountains and said that they were cakes, and Luo Zifu ate them, and it was really cakes. The woman cut the leaves into the shape of chickens and fish, put them in a pot and cooked them, and Luo Zifu picked them up and ate them, all of which were no different from the real ones. In the corner of the stone chamber there was a large jar full of wine, which the woman often poured out to drink, and when she drank a little of the wine, she poured some water into it to replenish it. Luo Zifu lived in the mountains for a few days, and all the scabs on his body fell off, so he asked to sleep with the woman. The woman said, "You frivolous fellow, just after saving your life and settling down, you began to think nonsense!" Luo Zifu said, "I just want to repay your kindness." Since then, the two have slept in the same bed, loved each other, and were very happy.

One day, a young woman walked into the cave with a smile, and as soon as she entered the door, she said: "Pianpian, you little devil is dying! When did you two do a good thing?" Pianpian greeted her out, and said with a smile: "It's the lady of Huacheng who is here, you distinguished guest has not been here for a long time, and today it must be the southwest wind blowing tightly, blowing you here! Pian Pian smiled and said, "The lady of Huacheng is a tile kiln, so why didn't you bring her here?" The lady of Huacheng said: "I coaxed her for a while just now, and now she is asleep." With that, the lady of Huacheng sat down, picked up her wine glass, and sipped slowly.

The lady of Huacheng looked at Luo Zifu again and said, "Xiao Langjun, you have burned high incense." Luo Zifu looked at the lady of Huacheng carefully, her age was twenty-three or fourteen years old, she had a good appearance and a moving demeanor, Luo Zifu fell in love with her again. Luo Zifu peeled the peel of the fruit reluctantly, and accidentally dropped a fruit under the table, he bent down and pretended to pick up the fruit, but secretly pinched a handful of Huacheng Niangzi's feet, Huacheng Niangzi's eyes looked elsewhere and smiled, as if she didn't know anything. Luo Zifu was thinking in a daze, and suddenly felt that the clothes and pants on his body had become cold, and then he looked at the clothes on his body, all of them had turned into autumn dead leaves. Luo Zifu was almost scared to death, so he quickly sat upright, he sat upright for a while, and the clothes on his body gradually changed back to their original appearance, Luo Zifu was secretly glad that the two women did not see his embarrassment.

After a while, Luo Zifu took the opportunity to persuade him to drink, and gently scratched the palm of the Huacheng lady with his fingers, and the Huacheng lady talked and laughed freely, as if she didn't notice it at all. Luo Zifu's heart was pounding, his expression was a little trance, and he suddenly found that the clothes on his body had turned into leaves again, and it took a while to change them again. Luo Zifu was full of shame, so he dispelled the idea of molesting the lady in Huacheng, and he didn't dare to have any more delusions. Huacheng Lady smiled and said: "This little Langjun of your family is not very honest! If it weren't for the vinegar gourd lady's discipline, I'm afraid he would have jumped to the sky." Pian Pian also smiled and said, "Something that is affectionate, it really should freeze you to death!" Both women clapped their hands and laughed. The lady of Huacheng got up and left the table, and said goodbye: "The little girl is about to wake up, I'm afraid she will cry and break her bowels." Pian Pian also stood up and said: "Patronizing and seducing other men, I can't remember that Xiao Jiangcheng cried to death." After Huacheng left, Luo Zifu was up and down in his heart, for fear that Pianpian would scold him, but Pianpian still treated him the same as usual.

After a few more days, in late autumn, when the cold wind was bitter and the frost beat the leaves, Pian Pian began to collect some fallen leaves, store food, and prepare for the winter. She saw Luo Zifu shrinking his neck and shivering from the cold, so she took a furoshier and picked up the pieces of white clouds at the entrance of the cave and wrapped a bag, and made a jacket for him as cotton.

In the second year, Pian Pian gave birth to a son, who was very smart and beautiful, and Luo Zifu teased his son in the cave every day. But he often misses his hometown, so please go back with him. Pian Pian said, "I can't go back with you, or you should go back by yourself." In this way, after another two or three years, the son gradually grew up, and he was engaged to the daughter of the lady in Huacheng. Luo Zifu often thinks about his elderly uncle, and Pian Pian comforts him and says: "Although my uncle is old, he is still very healthy, so you don't need to worry about it." When we raise our son to grow up and get married, we can stay as you please. "Pian Pian was in the cave, often writing on the leaves to teach his son to read, and his son was very talented and unforgettable. Pian Pian said: "This child is blessed, and in the future, he will be put in the world, and it may not be difficult to be an official as big as a prime minister." ”

A few years later, their son was fourteen years old. Huacheng lady personally sent her daughter Jiang Cheng to complete the marriage, Jiang Cheng was wearing a gorgeous dress, beautiful eyes, and radiant. Luo Zifu and Pianpian liked it very much, and the whole family got together for a wedding feast. At the banquet, Pian Pian knocked on the golden hairpin and sang: "I have a good son, and I don't envy being the prime minister." I have a good daughter-in-law, and I don't envy wearing brocade clothes. Come together tonight, and everyone should rejoice. Toast a glass of wine for you and persuade you to eat more. Later, the lady of Huacheng left, and the couple lived opposite the door with their son and daughter-in-law. The new daughter-in-law is particularly filial and often snuggles up to her mother-in-law's knees, just like their own daughter. Luo Zifu mentioned the matter of returning to his hometown again, and Pian Pian said: "You have vulgar bones, after all, you are not a person who can become an immortal, your son is also a rich and noble person, you can take it with you, I don't want to delay my son's future." "The bride is about to say goodbye to her mother, and the lady of Huacheng has come.

A pair of young children were reluctant to say goodbye to their mother, and their eyes were full of tears. The two mothers comforted them and said, "Go for the time being, and then come back." So Pian Pian cut the leaves into donkeys and let the three of them ride on the donkeys. At this time, Luo Zifu's uncle Luo Daye had returned to his hometown and lived at home, he thought that his nephew Luo Zifu had died a long time ago, and on this day, he suddenly saw his nephew come back with his handsome grandson and beautiful granddaughter-in-law, and he was so happy that he was like a treasure. As soon as the three of them entered the door, they each looked at the clothes on their bodies, which were all banana leaves. With a pull of his hand, the banana leaves broke, and the white clouds in his clothes slowly rose to the sky. So all three changed their clothes.

Later, Luo Zifu thought about it and took his son to look for it in the mountains, only to see that the path they were familiar with had been covered with yellow leaves, and the road to the entrance of the cave was also covered by thick white clouds, which could not be recognized, and Luo Zifu and his son had to go back with tears.

Book 41: Promoting Weaving

During the Xuande period of the Ming Dynasty, the game of fighting crickets was popular in the imperial palace, and crickets were levied from the people every year. This thing was not originally a specialty of Shaanxi, and a Huayin County Commander wanted to please his boss, so he offered a cricket and let it try it out, which was really powerful, so the court instructed Huayin County to pay tribute to crickets every year.

The county order also instructed Li Zheng to do the errand. Idlers in the market catch good crickets and keep them in bamboo cages, raise the price, and sell them as rare things. The village servants were cunning and treacherous, and in this name apportioned according to the population, and for every cricket that was assigned to them, several families could go bankrupt.

There is a famous man in the county, who is a child who has not been admitted to Xiucai for many years. He was pedantic and clumsy in rhetoric, so he was reported by a cunning errand to let him take on the errand of Lizheng, and he tried his best to turn it off, and in less than a year, the small amount of family property was lost.

This time it was just in time for the expropriation of crickets, and he didn't dare to apportionment it by household when he became famous, and he couldn't compensate, so he was so depressed that he wanted to die. The wife said, "What's the use of dying? "Fame makes sense. He went out early and returned late, carrying bamboo tubes and copper wire cages, turning over stones and digging caves in ruined walls and overgrown weeds, doing everything he could, but never found anything. Even if you catch three or two, you are an inferior weak and substandard guy.

The county order set a strict time limit to urge him to be chased and beaten, and in more than ten days, he was beaten with hundreds of boards, and pus and blood flowed straight between the two strands, and he could not even catch crickets. Fame tosses and turns in bed, and his only thought is suicide.

At that time, there was a hunchbacked witch in the village, who could predict good fortune through the gods. The famous wife prepared the money and went to ask for divination, only to see a girl with red makeup and a white-haired old woman crowding the door. Entering the house, a secret room was hung with a curtain, and in front of the curtain was an incense table. The diviner lights incense in the censer and bows twice. The witch prayed to heaven beside her, and her mouth was full of words, but she did not know what to say. Everyone stood respectfully and listened.

Not long after, a piece of paper was thrown out from behind the curtain, and it was written exactly what people wanted to ask. The wife who became famous put the money on the desk and burned incense and saluted like the person in front of her.

After the meal, the curtain lifted, and a piece of paper fell to the ground. When I picked it up, it was not a word but a painting: in the middle was a painting of a hall and a pavilion, similar to a temple; under the hill behind, there were all kinds of strange stones, with a cluster of thorns and thorns with sharp points, and a green pockled cricket lying underneath; next to it was a toad, as if it was about to jump. She played with it repeatedly, inexplicably, but when she saw crickets on the painting, she also faintly got to the point. So she folded the painting and put it away, and took it home to show her fame.

I have pondered repeatedly when I became famous, isn't this the place where I catch crickets? Looking closely at those scenes, it looks like the big Buddha pavilion in the east of the village. So he reluctantly got up, walked to the back of the monastery with a cane and a picture in hand. There are many ancient tombs there and high, and walking along the cemetery, you can only see the rocks crouching, dense as fish scales, as if they are completely similar to the pictures. Then he listened intently among the weeds, and walked slowly, as if he were looking for a needle, looking for a mustard seed, but when his heart, sight, and ears were completely exhausted, he saw neither the shadow nor the cricket's call.

Fame still kept trying to find it, and suddenly, a toad suddenly jumped away. He was further and more stunned, and hurried after him. At this moment the toad jumped into the grass, and he kept an eye on the toad's tracks, picked up the weeds and searched for it, and saw a cricket lying on the grass roots. He hurriedly went to pounce on the crickets, and the crickets got into the cracks in the stones. He used a thin blade of grass to pluck the crickets, but the crickets refused to come out, so he poured water into them with a bamboo tube, and the crickets popped out. The appearance of the cricket is very athletic. He caught up with the cricket, and when he looked closely, he saw that the cricket was very large, with a long tail, a blue neck, and golden wings.

He was so happy that he put the crickets in the cage and took them home. The whole family celebrated this, and they were even happier than they were to get the priceless jade. Fame put the cricket in the earthen pot to feed, give it white crab meat, yellow chestnut fruit, love and care, ready to wait for the deadline to come, and use it to deal with official errands.

Chengming has a nine-year-old son, and when he saw that his father was not there, he secretly opened the basin. The cricket jumped out of the pot, too fast to catch it. By the time it reached its hand, the cricket had already lost its thigh, broke its stomach, and died in a few moments. The son was scared and cried and told his mother. When the mother heard this, her face turned like ashes, and she scolded: "Evil seed! Your time of death has come! When your father comes back, he will naturally settle accounts with you!" The son went out with tears in his eyes.

Soon, when Fame returned home, listening to his wife, it was like ice and snow soaking his whole body. He went to look for his son in a rage, but he was nowhere to be found.

Later, when he found his son's body in the well, his anger turned to grief, and he almost fainted. The husband and wife wept to the corner, had no intention of cooking, only faced each other in silence, and there was no hope anymore.

When it was almost dark, Fame planned to bury his son hastily. When he approached, his son still had a faint breath. He happily put his son on the bed, and in the middle of the night, he woke up, and the couple felt a little relieved. But the cricket cage is still empty, as long as you glance there, you won't be angry and famous, and you can't speak, but you don't dare to pursue your son again. From dusk to dawn, he never closed his eyes.

The sun rises in the east, and fame is still lying in bed and worried. Suddenly, he heard crickets chirping outside the door, and he was shocked, and quickly got up to check, but saw that the crickets seemed to be still lying there. He went to catch crickets with joy. The cricket squawked and jumped away, and it was still jumping fast. He covered the cricket with his palm, and it seemed to be empty, but as soon as he raised his hand, the cricket quickly jumped away again. He hurried after him, and as soon as he turned the corner, he disappeared.

Fame lingered, looked around and saw crickets crouching on the walls. If you look closely, the cricket is short, black and red, and it is not the original cricket at all. He thought the cricket was too small, so he didn't look at it, but just walked around, looking around, looking for the cricket he was about to catch. At this moment, the little cricket lying on the wall suddenly jumped between the sleeves of his shirt. At first glance, this cricket was shaped like a soil dog, with plum blossom wings, a square head and long legs, and felt that it seemed to be quite good, so he happily caught it in the cage. When he was about to present the crickets to the government, he was uneasy, fearing that the above would not be satisfied, and wanted to try it out to see how it was.

It just so happened that there was a good young man in the village who domesticated a cricket and named it "Crab Shell Qing", and fought crickets with other young people every day, and he always won. He wanted to make a fortune from this cricket, but the asking price was too high, so no one bought him. He went straight to the door to find Chengming, looked at the little crickets raised by Chengming, and covered his mouth and smiled. He then took out his own crickets and put them in the cage used for fighting crickets. When he became famous, the cricket was both long and big, so he naturally felt ashamed and didn't dare to compete.

The young man insisted on trying. Fame thought that it was useless to raise an inferior goods after all, so it was better to fight hard to make a smile, so he poured the crickets into the bucket. The little crickets lay still, stunned. The young man laughed again. He used his bristles to tease the little cricket's whiskers, but the little cricket still didn't move. The young man laughed again. He teased him many times, and the little cricket was so enraged that he went straight forward, so the two crickets jumped and fought each other, flapping their wings and singing. After a while, I saw the little cricket jumping up, stretching out its tail and whiskers, and went straight to bite the neck of the crab shell.

The young man was taken aback and hurriedly separated the two sides so that they would stop the wrestling. At this time, the little cricket spread its wings and chirped proudly, as if to report the victory to its master. Fame and fame. The two were watching the little cricket when a rooster suddenly came running up and pecked it. Fame was so frightened that he stood there and shouted. Fortunately, the rooster did not peck it, and the little cricket jumped out more than a foot away, and the rooster walked forward and chased closely, seeing that the little cricket had fallen under the chicken's paws. became famous in a hurry, and didn't know how to save it, so he was so anxious that he stomped his feet, and his face changed greatly. Soon I saw that the rooster stretched out its neck and pounced on the edge, and when I looked closer, it turned out that the little cricket had landed on the's comb and bit hard. became more and more surprised, so he caught the crickets and put them in a bamboo cage.

The next day, Chengming dedicated the little cricket to the county order, and the county order thought that the cricket was too small, and angrily reprimanded Chengming. became famous and talked about the strange and extraordinary skills of the little cricket, but the county order refused to believe it. Try to make it fight with other crickets, and the other crickets fail miserably, and try to make it fight with the rooster, and it is really the same as Fame said.

So the county ordered the reward to become famous, and offered the little cricket to the governor. The governor was very pleased, and presented the little cricket to the emperor in a golden cage, and the above table detailed the skills of the little cricket. After the little cricket entered the palace, it took all the precious crickets such as butterflies, praying mantises, oil tarts, and green silk foreheads from all over the country to fight with it, and there was nothing more powerful than it. Whenever they hear the sound of the piano, the little crickets can also dance to the beat, which is more and more appreciated by people.

The emperor was also very happy, praised it, and issued an edict to give the governor famous horses and brocade. The governor did not forget his roots, and it didn't take long for the county order to be rated as "outstanding in political performance" in the assessment. The county magistrate was naturally very happy, so he exempted the famous Lizheng from the errand service, and also asked the school envoy to let the famous enter the county school.

After more than a year, the famous son regained his spirit, and he himself said that his body turned into a cricket, light and agile, good at gladiatorial fighting, and only then did he wake up. The governor also regained fame. In a few years, a family of fertile land is 100 hectares, 10,000 pavilions, 200 cattle and sheep each, whenever they go out, wear light fur, ride a fat horse, and are more pompous than the family.

Book 41: Xiang Gao

Xiang Gao, the word Chudan, a native of Taiyuan, he and his brother Xiang Sheng have the deepest relationship. Xiang Sheng was very close to a prostitute, the prostitute named Persia, and the two were secretly engaged to the marriage contract, because the bustard's mother demanded too much money and the marriage contract could not be fulfilled. It just so happened that the bustard's mother planned to be good and was willing to send Persia first.

There was a Zhuang son who had always liked Persia very much and wanted to ransom Persia as a concubine. Persia said to the bustard, "Since we want to be out of the sea of suffering together, we want to leave hell and go to heaven." If I were to be a concubine, it would be much the same as being a prostitute. If you are willing to follow my wishes, I am willing to marry Xiang Sheng. The bustard's mother agreed, and conveyed the meaning of Persia to Xiang Sheng. At that time, Xiang Sheng's wife had died and had not yet remarried, and he was overjoyed when he heard it, so he used all his money to hire Persia and marry her home.

When Zhuang Gongzi heard about this, he was angry that Xiang Sheng took his love, and when they met by chance on the way, he scolded Xiang Sheng. Xiang Sheng was not convinced, so Zhuang Gongzi instigated his subordinates to beat Xiang Sheng with short sticks, and did not leave until Xiang Sheng was almost out of breath. Xiang Gao heard that he rushed to see that his brother was dead. He was so sad and angry that he wrote a letter of complaint and went to the county town to complain.

Zhuang Gongzi bribed heavily, making Xiang Gao unreasonable. Xiang Gao was overwhelmed with resentment, had nowhere to complain, and wanted to block the road and assassinate Zhuang Gongzi. Every day, he carried a sharp blade in his arms, and hid in the grass beside the mountain road.

As the days went by, his schemes gradually leaked. Zhuang Gongzi knew his plan, and he was on guard as soon as he went out. He heard that there was a man named Jiao Tong in Fenzhou, who was brave and good at archery, so he hired him as a bodyguard with a lot of money. Xiang Gao has nothing to do, but he still waits for Zhuang Gongzi every day.

One day, Xiang Gao had just come down in ambush, and the torrential rain was sudden, and he was soaked all over his body, shivering terribly. Then the wind was blowing, and then hail fell. Suddenly, Xiang Gao no longer felt the pain and itching on his body. There used to be a mountain temple on the mountain, and he struggled to get up and ran to the past. After entering the temple, a Taoist priest he knew was inside.

Previously, the Taoist priest had begged in the village, and Xiang Gao always gave him food, and the Taoist priest knew Xiang Gao from this. When he saw that Xiang Gao's clothes were wet, he handed him a cloth robe and said, "Let's put on this one for the time being." Xiang Gao changed his clothes, endured the cold like a dog and crouched on the ground, looked at himself, and suddenly gave birth to a body of fur, and his body had turned into a tiger. I saw that the Taoist priest was no longer in the temple. He was surprised and angry. On second thought, it was a clever strategy to capture the enemy and eat his flesh. He went down the mountain and ambushed in the old place, only to see his body lying in the grass, and then he realized that his predecessor was dead, but he was still worried that the corpse would be eaten by crows and eagles, so he walked around and guarded it from time to time.

A day later, Zhuang Gongzi passed by here, and the tiger jumped out suddenly, threw Zhuang Gongzi to the ground from his horse, bit off his head, and swallowed it. Jiao Tong returned to his horse and shot an arrow into the tiger's abdomen, and the tiger fell to the ground and died. Xiang Gao lay in the thorn bushes, waking up from a dream in a trance, and after another night, he could walk, and then returned home listlessly. The family was suspicious because he had not been home for several nights in a row, and when they saw him returning, they happily stepped forward to ask questions. Xiang Gao just lay down, so dull that he couldn't speak.

After a while, when he heard about Zhuang Gongzi's death letter, his family rushed to the bedside to tell him and celebrate it. Xiang Gao then opened his mouth and said, "The tiger is me!", so he told his strange experience. The matter has since spread. Zhuang Gongzi's son was saddened that his father had died too miserably, and after hearing about it, he hated Xiang Gao very much, so he sued Xiang Gao to the government. The government thought that the matter was grotesque, and there was no evidence, so they ignored it.

Book 41: Pigeon Differences

There are many kinds of pigeons, there are Kunxing in Shanxi, Hexiu in Shandong, axillary butterflies in Guizhou, tumbling jumps in Hanzhong, and Zhujian in Zhejiang, which are all special varieties. There are also boot toes, pips, big whites, black stones, couple finch, flower dog eyes, etc., there are too many varieties to count, and only those who love to raise pigeons can distinguish them.

Zouping County Zhang Youliang son, has a habit of raising pigeons, he seeks pigeons according to the "Pigeon Classic", and strives to have all pigeon breeds. He kept pigeons as if they were babies, and when they had a cold, they were treated with licorice, and when they had a fever, they were treated with salt grains.

Pigeons love to sleep, and if they sleep too much, some will die of paralysis. Zhang Gongzi spent ten taels of silver in Yangzhou to buy a pigeon, this pigeon is the smallest, good at walking, put it on the ground, just keep walking in circles, until tired to death will not stop, so often someone has to hold it in the hand.

Putting it in the middle of the flock at night to alarm the other pigeons will prevent them from suffering from numbness in their legs and feet, and the pigeon is called Night Tour. The experts in raising pigeons in Shandong are not as good as Zhang Gongzi, and Zhang Gongzi is also good at raising pigeons.

One night, Zhang Gongzi was sitting in the study, and suddenly saw a young man in white knocking on the door and coming in, a person he had never known. Zhang Gongzi asked him and replied, "I am a wanderer, and my name is not worth mentioning." I've heard from afar that your pigeons are the most prosperous, and this is also my lifelong hobby, so please open my eyes. Zhang Gongzi released all the pigeons, which were really full of colors and bright as clouds.

The boy smiled and said, "What people say is really good, Childe can be called a powerful pigeon breeder." I also have one or two, would you like to take a look?" Zhang Gongzi was overjoyed and followed the young man. The moonlight was dim, the wilderness and the graves were very depressed, and Zhang Gongzi felt doubts and fears in his heart. The young man stretched out his hand and said, "Childe walk a few steps further, my residence is not far away." After walking a few more steps, I saw a Taoist temple, and there were only two of them.

The young man took Zhang Gongzi's hand and went in, it was very dark inside, and there was no light. The boy stood in the courtyard and chirped a pigeon. Suddenly, two pigeons flew out, shaped like ordinary pigeons, and their coats were pure white, and they flew to the height of the eaves, and they fought while chirping, and every time they hit a piece, they had to turn over and fight. The boy waved his arms, and they flew away. The boy pursed his lips again and made a strange noise, and two more pigeons, the big one the size of a duck and the small one the size of a fist, landed on the steps and learned to dance with the crane. The big one stood with its neck stretched out, and its open wings were like screens, and it was turning and turning, and screaming and jumping, as if it were teasing the little pigeon, and the little pigeon flew up and down, and sometimes landed on the top of the big pigeon's head, and flapped its wings, like a swallow falling on a pampas leaf, and the sound was small, like a rattle, and the big pigeon stretched its neck and did not dare to move. The cries became more and more urgent, and became like the sound of chimes, and their chirpings echoed in pairs, intervals and staggered rhythms.

Soon the little pigeon flew up, and the big one repeatedly attracted it. Zhang Gongzi was appreciative, and he felt that he was beyond his reach. So he gave the boy a trick and asked for love, but the boy did not agree. Zhang Gongzi insisted on pleading again. So the boy drank the two pigeons, and still made the same sound as before, and called the two white doves, and took them in his hand, and said, "If you do not dislike them, make up for them with them." Zhang Gongzi took it over to enjoy the game, only to see that the pigeon's eyes showed an amber color in the moonlight, the eyes were transparent and bright, as if there was no barrier, the black eyes in the middle were round like peppercorns, lifting the pigeon's wings, and the meat under the flank was crystal transparent, and even the viscera could be seen clearly.

Zhang Gongzi was particularly surprised, but he was still not satisfied, so he continued to ask for it in a roundabout way. The boy said, "There are two more that have not been offered, and I dare not invite you to see them now." While the two were arguing, the family came in with torchlights to find Mr. Zhang. Looking back at the young man, he turned into a white dove, the size of a chicken, and flew away into the night sky.

Looking at the courtyard in front of me, the houses were gone, and it was a small tomb with two cypress trees growing in front of the tomb. Zhang Gongzi and his family hugged the pigeon and went back in amazement. Zhang Gongzi let two pigeons test fly, and they were unusually tamed, just like at the beginning, although they were not the best pigeons of teenagers, they were extremely rare in the world. So Zhang Gongzi cherished them to the extreme. After two years, three young pigeons, male and female, were bred, and even if relatives and friends asked for them, they could not get them.

Zhang Gongzi's father's friend is a high-ranking official. One day, he saw Zhang Gongzi and asked, "How many pigeons do you raise?" He guessed that a certain male meant that he liked pigeons, and wanted to give pigeons to repay him, but he felt that it was difficult to cut his love. But think of it: the requirements of the elders should not be disobeyed excessively. And he didn't dare to deal with ordinary pigeons, so he selected two white pigeons and put them in a cage to give them to a certain male, thinking that this was no different from a gift of a thousand gold.

Another day, when Zhang Gongzi saw a certain father, his face showed a look of benevolence, but a certain prince did not even say a word of thanks. He couldn't help himself and asked, "Is it okay to give you a pigeon the other day?" and replied, "It's also fat." Zhang Gongzi exclaimed, "You cooked it?" and replied, "Yes." Zhang Gongzi was shocked and said: "This is not an ordinary pigeon, it is the breed that people often call 'Tatar'!" A certain male replied: "The taste is not a little special!" Zhang Gongzi sighed and regretted and went home. When the night came, he dreamed that the young man in white was coming, and rebuked him, saying, "I thought you could take care of pigeons, so I entrusted my children and grandchildren to you." Why did Mingzhu secretly throw himself and cause the tragedy of being boiled to death! Now, I'm going away with the children!" After speaking, the young man turned into a white pigeon, and all the white pigeons raised by Zhang Gongzi followed it, and left straight away while flying.

After dawn, Zhang Gongzi went to see the pigeons, and sure enough, they were all gone. He was very melancholy, so he gave away the pigeons he had raised on weekdays to his friends, and they were all delivered in a few days.

Book 41: Jiangcheng

Linjiang Gaofan, a bright young man, beautiful appearance, entered the county school at the age of fourteen. Wealthy families vied to marry their daughters to him, but Gao Fan's choice was very harsh and repeatedly disobeyed his father's orders.

's father, Gao Zhonghong, is sixty years old, and he only has this one son, so he is very fond of him, and he can't bear to go against his will a little. At first, there was a Fan Weng in the East Village, who taught children to read in the bazaar, and rented a house from the Gao Fan family with his family to live in.

Fan Weng has a daughter, nicknamed Jiangcheng, the same age as Gao Fan, who was eight or nine years old at the time, and the two had no guesses, and they played together every day. Later, Fan Weng's family moved away, and four or five years passed, and there was no contact.

One day, Gao Fan saw a girl in a small alley, beautiful and outstanding, with a little girl ring behind her, only six or seven years old. Gao Fan didn't dare to look at it as much as he could, just squinted and peeked. The woman stopped and looked at Gao Fan, as if to say something. Gao Fan looked carefully, it turned out to be Jiang Cheng, and he was suddenly surprised. Neither of them spoke, but stood staring at each other for a long time before parting, and they both felt love for each other in their hearts.

Gao Fan deliberately threw the red scarf on the ground and left. Xiao Yahuan picked up the red scarf and happily handed it to Jiang Cheng. Jiang Cheng put the red scarf in his cuffs, put on his own incense towel, and pretended to say to Xiao Yahuan: "Gao Xiucai is not an ordinary person, you can't leave what he lost, you should catch up and return it to others." Xiao Yahuan really caught up and handed the towel to Gao Fan, and Gao Fan was very happy to get the towel from Jiangcheng. When he went home to see his mother, he asked his mother to propose marriage to the Fan family. The mother said: "The Fan family does not have half a house, and they are wandering everywhere, how can they be worthy of marrying our family!" Gao Fan said: "I am willing to do it, so naturally I will not regret it." The mother couldn't make up her mind and discussed it with Gao Zhonghong, but Gao Zhonghong insisted on disagreeing.

Gao Fan was sullen when he heard this, and he couldn't swallow a grain of rice. Seeing this, the mother was very worried and said to Gao Zhonghong: "Although the Fan family is poor, they are not philistine scoundrels. I wanted to go to their house and see if the girl was worthy, and there was no harm in marrying her. Gao Zhonghong said, "Okay." "My mother came to Fan's house under the pretext of going to the Black Emperor Temple to burn incense. When I saw Jiang Cheng's bright eyes and teeth, he was so beautiful and beautiful, and I was very happy in my heart.

So, he took out silver and silk, gave the Fan family a generous gift, and truthfully explained his intention. Fan's mother first humbly resigned from her poor family, and later agreed to this family business. When her mother came home and told her what had happened, Gao Fan swept away her sorrow and became happy. After a year, choose a good day to marry Jiang Cheng, and the husband and wife are very happy.

However, Jiang Cheng lost his temper, turned his face and didn't recognize people, and chattered endlessly in her husband's ear. Because Gao Fan loved Jiangcheng very much, he endured everything. When the in-laws heard about it, they were dissatisfied and secretly blamed their son. When Jiang Cheng heard these words, he became angry and insulted even more vigorously. Gao Fan refuted her insults slightly, and Jiang Cheng became more and more annoyed, beat him out of the door, and then closed the door. Gao Fan shivered with cold outside the door, didn't dare to knock on the door, and spent the night under the eaves with his knees crossed.

Jiang Cheng regarded her husband as an enemy from then on. At first, the husband could reconcile after kneeling, but gradually it progressed to the point that it was ineffective to bend his knees and beg for mercy, and the husband became more and more painful. The in-laws scolded her daughter-in-law a little, but she couldn't describe it. The in-laws were angry and forced Gao Fan to let him divorce his daughter-in-law. The Fan family was ashamed and afraid, so they asked a friend to intercede with Gao Zhonghong, but Gao Zhonghong did not agree.

After more than a year, Gao Fan went out and met his father-in-law, who invited him back to his home and made amends one after another. Then let the daughter dress up and come out to meet, and when the husband and wife meet, they can't help but feel sad and sad. Fan's father bought wine to entertain his son-in-law, and he was very attentive in persuading him to drink. In the evening, the Fan family insisted on staying with Gao Fan, and cleaned and arranged the bed to reunite the young couple. Gao Fan left and went home early the next morning, not daring to tell his parents the truth, so he had to cover up and arrange the past.

Since then, I have gone to my father-in-law's house every three or five days to stay overnight, and my parents don't know about it at all. One day, Fan's father came to the door and asked to see Gao Zhonghong, at first Gao Zhonghong refused to see him, and then he was forced to come out to meet him. Fan's father came over to plead with his daughter on his knees, but Gao Zhonghong refused to accept and shirked to his son. Fan's father said: "My son-in-law stayed at my house last night, and I didn't hear that he didn't want to. Gao Zhonghong asked in surprise, "When will he stay at your house?" Gao Zhonghong blushed and said apologetically: "I really don't know. He loves your daughter, do I have to get along with her?" After Father Fan left, Gao Zhonghong called his son over and scolded him. Gao Fan just lowered his head, and he didn't dare to come out. As he spoke, Father Fan had already sent his daughter over. Gao Zhonghong said: "I can't bear the fault for my children, it's better to set up their own doors, so I bother you to preside over our separation." Father Fan dissuaded him and didn't listen.

So they let the young couple live in another house and sent a maid ring for them to drive. More than a month has passed, and the two have been peaceful, and Gao Zhonghong and his wife secretly feel relieved. But after a while, Jiang Cheng gradually became presumptuous, Gao Fan's face often had nail scratches, and his parents knew what was going on, but they couldn't bear to ask.

One day, Gao Fan was beaten so much that he fled to his parents' residence, panicking like a bird being chased by a bird of prey. The parents were asking in surprise, Jiang Cheng had already chased after him with a wooden stick, and he actually dragged Gao Fan and beat him by his father-in-law's side. The father-in-law and mother-in-law cried and shouted to stop, Jiang Cheng didn't even look at it, and hit it dozens of times before he left angrily. Gao Zhonghong threw his son out and said, "I only separated my family to avoid the noise." You were happy to do this, but what did you run away from?" Gao Fan was kicked out of his house and wandered around, with nowhere to go.

The mother was afraid that her son would be tortured to death, so she let him live alone and feed him. He called Fan's father again and asked him to teach his daughter. Fan's father came to his daughter's room and tried his best to persuade him, but Jiang Cheng just didn't listen, but hurt his father with bad words. Fan's father was so angry that he brushed off his clothes and swore that he would never recognize his daughter again. Soon, Fan's father was so angry that he fell ill and died with his wife one after another. Jiang Cheng hated them, and he didn't go home to mourn, but just scolded through the wall every day, deliberately letting his parents-in-law hear. Gao Zhonghong just didn't know.

Since Gao Fan lived alone, he seemed to be away from the fire pit, but he always felt desolate and lonely. He secretly bought the matchmaker Li family, recruited prostitutes to accompany him, and the correspondence was at night. After a long time, Jiang Cheng heard a little rumor, so he went to Gao Fan's residence to abuse. Gao Fan tried his best to defend himself, pointing to the sun and swearing, Jiang Cheng went back. Since then, Jiang Cheng has been monitoring Gao Fan every day, waiting to catch him.

One day, Mrs. Li came out of Gao Fan's residence and happened to meet Jiang Cheng, Jiang Cheng hurriedly called Mrs. Li, and Mrs. Li's face changed suddenly. Jiang Cheng became more and more suspicious, and said to Mrs. Li: "Tell me all the things you did, maybe I will spare you, if you dare to hide it, I will pull out your hair!" Mrs. Li trembled and said: "In the past half a month, only Li Yunniang from the brothel has been here twice. Just now, the son said that he once saw the daughter-in-law of the Tao family in Yuzhi Mountain, liked her little feet, and asked me to recruit her. Although she is not chaste, she may not want to be a prostitute, so it is not certain whether she will succeed or not. Jiang Cheng forgave her because she told the truth. Mrs. Li wanted to leave, but Jiang Cheng forcibly stopped her. After dark, Jiangcheng said to Mrs. Li: "You go and blow out his candle first, and say that the daughter-in-law of the Tao family has arrived." Mrs. Li did as she said. Jiang Cheng immediately entered Gao Fan's house. Gao Fan was very happy, took her arm, sat with her, and told her about his longing for lovesickness, Jiang Cheng was silent.

Gao Fan touched her feet in the dark and said, "When I saw the fairy face on the mountain, it was these feet that I never forgot. Jiang Cheng never spoke. Gao Fan said: "The previous wish has only been fulfilled today, how can we not know each other when we meet?" Gao Fan was shocked, the candle fell to the ground, and he knelt on the ground and trembled, like a knife on his neck. Jiang Cheng dragged him back to his house by the ear, pricked him through both thighs with a needle, and let him sleep in the lower bed, scolding him every day when he woke up.

Gao Fan was afraid that she was like seeing a tiger and a wolf, even if Jiang Cheng occasionally admired her face, on the pillow, Gao Fan was so scared that she didn't look like a husband. Jiang Cheng slapped him, scolded him and threw him out of bed, becoming more and more disgusted with him and not treating him as a human being. Gao Fanri is in the boudoir, like a prisoner in a prison, and he must always look at the face of the jailer.

Jiang Cheng has two older sisters, both of whom are married to Xiucai. The eldest sister has a peaceful and kind temperament, is not good at talking, and often does not get along with Jiang Cheng. The second sister is married to the Ge family, she is cunning, eloquent, likes to look at shadows, and admires herself. The appearance is not as beautiful as Jiang Cheng, and the fierce jealousy is on par with Jiang Cheng. The sisters and sons didn't say anything else when they saw each other, but they were smug with their husband's majesty, so the two of them were the best.

When Gao Fan went to the house of relatives and friends, Jiang Cheng was angry and angry, and he only went to Ge's house, and he did not stop it when he knew about it. One day, Gao Fan was drinking at Ge's house. After getting drunk, Ge Sheng laughed at Gao Fan and said, "Why are you afraid that your wife is so powerful?" Gao Fan smiled and said: "There are many things in the world that are incomprehensible in retrospect. My fear is that I am afraid of her beauty, and there are people who are not as beautiful as my wife, and I am afraid that my wife is more and more confusing than me?" Ge Sheng was very ashamed when he heard this, and he was speechless. Yahuan heard these words and told the second sister. The second sister was furious, and she came out immediately after the stick. Gao Fan saw that she was so aggressive that she didn't have time to lift her shoes, so she was about to escape.

The second sister picked up the stick and hit his waist and spine, and the three sticks went down to hit Gao Fan three times and couldn't get up. He was hit in the head by mistake, and the blood flowed like a torrent. The second sister left after the fight, and Gao Fan staggered home. Jiang Cheng asked him in surprise, at first he didn't dare to say it immediately because he offended his second aunt, Jiang Cheng interrogated him again and again, and then told all the process of being beaten. Jiang Cheng bandaged Gao Fan's head with a cloth, and said angrily: "People's husband, why bother her to beat!" changed into a short-sleeved shirt, carried a wooden pestle, and went straight with the ring.

When they arrived at Ge's house, the second sister greeted each other with a smile. Jiang Cheng didn't say a word, picked up the wooden pestle and beat it, the second sister was knocked to the ground, Jiang Cheng tore open her pants and beat her painfully, until her teeth fell and her lips were open, and she was incontinent. When Jiang Cheng came back, the second sister was ashamed and angry, and sent her husband to Gao Fan to complain. Gao Fan rushed out and tried his best to be considerate and soothing with good words. Ge Sheng said privately: "I have to come this time. The evil woman is unkind and unjust, but fortunately she was punished by the hands of others, what kind of enmity is there between the two of us. Jiang Cheng heard this, and immediately came out, pointing at Ge Sheng and scolding: "Despicable thing! Your wife suffers from losses, but secretly befriends outsiders! Shouldn't this kind of man be beaten to death?" Ge Sheng was so embarrassed that he grabbed the door and fled. Since then, Gao Fan has nowhere to interact with people.

His classmate Wang Ziya came to visit Gao Fan, and Gao Fan kept the guests to drink. During the drinking, the two joked with each other about things in the boudoir, and the jokes were very obscene and obscene. It happened that Jiang Cheng was peeking at the guests, and he hid aside and heard it all, so he secretly put the croton in the soup and let Yahuan bring it in. After a while, Wang Ziya vomited and vomited, and he was only dying. Jiang Cheng asked Yahuan to ask him, "Do you dare to be rude?" Wang Ziya understood the cause of the illness, moaning and begging, the mung bean soup here had already been prepared for use, and Wang Ziya drank it before she stopped vomiting. Since then, classmates have warned each other that they dare not go to Gao's house to drink.

Wang Ziya has a hotel, and there are a lot of red plums in the store, so he holds a banquet to entertain friends of the same generation. Gao Fan excused himself to participate in the literati association, and reported to Jiangcheng that he would later go to the banquet. In the evening, everyone was in high spirits, and Wang Ziya said: "There happens to be a famous prostitute in Nanchang, who lives here, and you can ask her to come and drink together." The crowd was very happy. Only Gao Fan got up and left his seat to say goodbye.

The people grabbed him and said, "Although the lady of the boudoir is well-informed, she cannot hear or see this place." So everyone swore to each other that they would remain silent on the matter, and Gao Fan sat down again. After a while, the prostitute came, seventeen or eighteen years old, the jade pendant and other ornaments on her body jingled, and her hair was combed high like a cloud. When asked what her surname was, she replied, "Her surname is Xie, and her nickname is Fang Lan." The conversation was very graceful and elegant, and the crowd was ecstatic. And Fang Lan is still dedicated to Gao Fan, and frequently sends him autumn waves. After being discovered by everyone, they deliberately dragged the two over and sat down side by side.

Fang Lan secretly took Gao Fan's hand and wrote the word "Su" with her fingers in Gao Fan's palm. Gao Fan wanted to leave at this time but couldn't bear it, wanted to stay but didn't dare, his heart was like numbness, indescribable. The two of them whispered head to head, drunk and wild, and Gao Fan also forgot about the rouge tiger at home. It didn't take long for the audience to become less and less drinker, except for a beautiful young man in the distant seat, drinking alone by candlelight, and a servant holding a handkerchief on the side. The crowd secretly talked about the elegance of the young man. Soon, the boy finished drinking and walked out the door.

The servant turned around and came in and said to Gao Fan, "The master is waiting outside, and he has something to say." Everyone was at a loss when they heard this, only Gao Fan's face changed miserably, and he didn't have time to say goodbye, so he left in a hurry. The young man is Jiang Cheng, and the servant is the maid ring in the family. Gao Fan followed Jiang Cheng back home and ate a whip on his stomach.

Since then, Jiang Cheng has imprisoned him even more, and even the exchange of festive and mourning activities between friends and relatives has been interrupted. Xuezheng went to the county school to test the students, and Gao Fan was expelled because of his wrong explanation of the content of the test questions.

One day, Gao Fan was talking to Yahuan, and Jiang Cheng suspected that he was having an affair with Yahuan, so he put a wine jar on Yahuan's head and beat her. After the beating, Gao Fan and Yahuan were tied up, and a piece of meat was cut off on each of the stomachs of the two with embroidery scissors, and the two pieces of meat were exchanged and pasted on their respective wounds. Once the tie is loosened, let them bandage their wounds.

After more than a month, the flesh attached to the wound actually grew. Jiang Cheng often trampled the cake in the dust with his bare feet, and scolded Gao Fan to pick it up and eat it. There's a lot more to it like that.

Because Gao's mother missed her son, she occasionally went to her son's house, and when she saw that her son was skinny, she cried bitterly when she went back, and she didn't want to live anymore. In a dream at night, an old man told her, "Don't worry about it, it's karma from your previous life." Jiang Cheng was originally an immortal rat raised by a monk of Jingye, and the son was a scholar in his previous life, and occasionally went to play with the monk of Jingye and killed the immortal rat by mistake. This world has become a bad retribution, which is irreparable by manpower. If you get up early every day and recite the mantra 100 times with sincerity, it will definitely work. Gao's mother woke up and told her husband about the dream, and both of them felt strange. The husband and wife followed the instructions and reverently chanted the scriptures for more than two months, Jiang Cheng was as arrogant as ever, and he became more and more arrogant and indulgent. Hearing the sound of gongs and drums outside, she ran out with her hair in her hands before she finished her makeup, and looked at her stupidly, thousands of people pointed at her, looked at her, she was at ease, as if it was all right. Her father-in-law and mother-in-law were ashamed, and they couldn't stop her.

Suddenly, an old monk was preaching Dharma karma outside the door, and there were so many onlookers that it was like a wall. The leather on the monk's drum makes a sound like a cow's bark. Jiang Cheng heard that he rushed out, and when he saw that there were so many people that there was no gap, he asked Yahuan to bring a wooden bench and stand high on it to watch. Everyone's eyes were all focused on her, and Jiang Cheng didn't seem to be aware of it at all. After a while, the old monk was about to finish his lecture, asked for a bowl of clear water, and preached to Jiang Cheng with a water bowl: "Don't be angry, don't be angry! The past life is not false, and this life is not true. The rat shrinks its head, don't let the cat find it. After preaching, he took a sip of water and sprayed it on Jiang Cheng's face, and all of a sudden the fat powder of his eyebrows flowed down wet, wetting the sleeves of his shirt. Everyone was taken aback, thinking that Jiang Cheng would be furious, Jiang Cheng didn't say a word, wiped his face and went home alone.

The old monk also left. Jiang Cheng returned to the room and sat blankly, dazed, didn't eat all day, swept the bed and fell asleep. In the middle of the night, she suddenly woke up Gao Fan, Gao Fan guessed that she was going to relieve her, so she picked up the urinal, Jiang Cheng pushed it away, secretly pulled Gao Fan's arm, and pulled him into his bed. Gao Fan accepted his wife's life, and his limbs trembled with fear, as if he had received the emperor's holy decree.

Jiang Cheng said with emotion: "Let Lang Jun become like this, how can he be a person!" touched her husband's body with her hand, and every time she touched the scar from the falling cane, she cried and pinched herself with her nails, wishing to die immediately. When Gao Fan saw her like this, he couldn't bear it, so he comforted her vigorously. Jiang Cheng said: "I think that old monk must be the incarnation of the Bodhisattva. He sprinkled it with water, and I felt like I had changed my guts. When I look back on what I did in the past, it's like a lifetime away. I wasn't a human being at that time, was I? There were husbands and wives who couldn't get together, and there were in-laws who couldn't serve, what kind of heart was that? Tomorrow we will move back home, still living with our parents, and it will be convenient for us to serve and say hello. Jiang Cheng babbled all night, just like telling the husband and wife about ten years of separation.

As soon as the morning dawned, Jiang Cheng got up, folded clothes and gathered utensils, Yahuan carried the box, she held the futon herself, and urged Gao Fan to knock on her parents' door. The mother came out and asked in surprise, and Gao Fan told Jiang Cheng's mind to his mother. Mother was still hesitating, Jiang Cheng had already come in with Yahuan, and mother followed. Jiang Cheng fell to the ground and wept bitterly, begging his mother to save him from death. Seeing the sincerity of Jiang Cheng's intentions, his mother also cried and said, "Why did my son suddenly become like this?" Gao Fan gave his mother a detailed account of Jiang Cheng's listening to the monk's lectures, and his mother realized that her previous dream had come true. Very happy, beckoned the servants to clean the old house for his son and daughter-in-law.

Jiang Cheng respects the color of his in-laws everywhere from this matter and obeys the wishes of his in-laws, which is better than a filial son. When I saw outsiders, I was as shy as a bride. When someone joked about her past, she was so embarrassed that her face turned red. And she is very diligent and thrifty, good at accumulating family business, three years of work, her in-laws only ask about housekeeping, and the family property has become more than 10,000 yuan.

Gao Fan also raised people in this year. Jiang Cheng often said to Gao Fan: "When I saw Fang Lan that day, I still remember her." Gao Fan was satisfied because he was no longer abused by his wife, and he didn't dare to think about it anymore, and he only reciprocated Jiang Cheng's words. It happened that Gao Fan went to the capital to take the exam, and he returned home for a few months. When I entered the house, Fang Lan was playing chess with Jiang Cheng. Gao Fan asked what was going on in surprise, it turned out that Jiang Cheng used hundreds of taels of silver to redeem Fang Lan. Wang Ziya in Zhejiang said this in the most detail.
