Objectively speaking, on the one hand, it is caused by the recent epidemic, especially many enterprises in the supply chain around Shanghai have failed to operate normally, stuck in the neck of the production capacity of car companies; on the other hand, it can also be seen that the current consumer desire to buy a car is indeed not as strong as in the past, and many reasons are very complicated, which is reflected in the data that the decline in sales of high-end models is much greater than that of low-end models.

The only one who has bucked the trend and shined is BYD.

Judging from the published data, BYD's sales of new energy models in April reached 10w+, which is definitely a very eye-catching achievement in this environment. Although there is no shortage of people who "broke the news" that behind this number, it is more for the channel to shop. However, in the face of so many industries, chips, and parts supply shortage, BYD can hand over so many spot spots, which is definitely the embodiment of comprehensive capabilities.

BYD's R&D and production of batteries, some chips and core components are all in its own hands, and now it seems that it has really worked wonders. This may also become the winner and loser of BYD's continued breakthrough.

In this sluggish environment, Tesla seems unmoved. It is reported that Tesla has begun to expand production capacity in Shanghai. Although the official statement has not been officially announced, some news say that it is "Tesla's second factory", and some say that it belongs to the original factory expansion. But no matter how the nature is defined, the objective fact is that Tesla is planning to expand against the trend and double the total production capacity of the Shanghai factory to 1 million vehicles per year.

Obviously, Tesla is still quite confident in both China and the global market. Similarly, Musk has previously posted on social media, saying that Tesla may directly enter the field of lithium mining and refining on a large scale, because as a key element in the manufacture of batteries, lithium prices have reached a "crazy" level.

Car companies involved in controlling upstream raw materials and supply chains may be a compulsory course in the era of new energy vehicles.

If tesla is still missing anything in its current products, it may be that it is still missing an MPV. Will pure electric MPV be the blue ocean in the market?

Interestingly, this time also emphasized that the "economist battery staging plan" shows that the car can save 90,000 yuan. According to what we know from some dealers, this is probably a financial solution, which is to let the car price and battery price be separately for loans, and some new power brands have similar games before.

Although the iMAX8 EV occupies the title of "the first pure electric MPV", users may be more concerned about the overall product performance. After all, to take into account enough mileage and practicality, pure electric MPV should be tucked into a large battery tile under the chassis, but also to ensure enough riding and storage space in the carriage, how to do everything, which really needs to take some thought.

As for Lantu's dreamers, they are even smarter, first launching a ranger version to test the waters. As far as the Dreamer Extender Edition that we have simply experienced before, because the battery with the help of the internal combustion engine does not need to occupy too much space, coupled with the air suspension can adjust the height of the body, it is still guaranteed in terms of the performance of the interior space.

However, the higher chassis platform specifications, as well as 8155 chips, triple screens and other configurations, also let the price of the Dreamer ordinary version rush to 36.99-43.99 million yuan. As the official says, they are positioned as electric luxury flagship MPV. Such a price is paired with the word "flagship", and it is known that it is not aimed at ordinary household consumers.

However, for the public and commercial car market, due to the uncertainty of the time and distance of the car, the endurance seems to become a natural bottleneck for the use of the car. For example, when your boss suddenly calls and asks you to pick up an important customer immediately, will you say to your boss, "Do you need to charge for half an hour, let the customer wait"?

In this way, it seems that the extender is more advantageous.

So this leads to the proposition discussed earlier: Does the new energy market, especially the high-end business market, really need a pure electric MPV?

If you want to be as grounded as a sedan, or a small and medium-sized household SUV, the positioning and price of sales into thousands of households, the only ones that can be picked at present are Song MAX DM-i and Geely Jiaji New Energy. Considering the adaptability of the home scene, perhaps more people are not as practical as buying a new energy SUV of the same level.

Therefore, MPV, whether green or not, really needs to be extreme in terms of product, image and positioning, and needs to consider different scenarios and car needs. It is not difficult to understand why Lantu Dreamer will continue to add a higher-end customized version with a higher price.

But here the question arises again, if as the company's business reception car, will it pay more attention to the new energy vehicles that can be green cards, or choose more fuel vehicles without any anxiety about using the car?
