From the initial Tesla announced price increases, to the participation of new car-making forces, traditional independent brands, joint venture brands and foreign brands, the price increase that began in March is continuing to affect more brands.

However, there are still a few hard-hitting car companies that can withstand the pressure and did not start to adjust prices until May, and Jihu Automobile is one of them.

On the morning of April 30, Jihu Automobile issued an announcement that the price adjustment plan, which was originally scheduled to be implemented on May 1, is now postponed to May 16. The specific scheme is as follows:

01 Who is the most beautiful price increase posture?

The price increase of electric vehicles has been uneven and has risen again. The "cumulative effect" of continuous rise has also made the overall purchase threshold of electric vehicles "rise". The anxiety in the market continues to spread, and for consumers of electric vehicles, whether to hurry up or continue to wait and see has become a problem in front of them.

In addition to a few brand models the price increased by more than 30,000 yuan, the price increase of most electric vehicles is still relatively conservative, and the price increase of car companies such as Jihu, BYD, Geometry, Roewe, Chery, Nezha and other car companies is within 10,000 yuan, with an increase of 2% to 10%.

Price increases are also an art, although they are all raising prices, but the strategies of different companies to raise prices are not exactly the same, and there is no doubt that after price increases, they will also go to different ends.

From the perspective of time, most car companies are immediately executed after announcing price increases. For example, Chery New Energy announced a price increase on April 6, and began to implement price increases on April 7; BYD performed more quickly, starting to implement the new price 10 minutes after the official announcement, and the speed was simply caught off guard by consumers.

In addition, Zero Run announced a price increase on March 25, which was officially implemented on March 26; Xiaopeng Automobile announced a price increase on March 18, effective from 00:00 on March 21; Ideal ONE issued an announcement on March 23 to announce a price increase on April 1... Most car companies only give consumers a week or so to consider before and after price increases.

In contrast, the polar fox seems to have become a clear stream among many officially announced price increases. As early as April 6, Jihu posted a message on its official Weibo that it would make certain price adjustments for all models of the Jihu brand from May 1, 2022.

The rising price tide seems to be a market phenomenon of new energy vehicles, but in fact, every link in the industrial chain is sending out a signal to change, especially for the comprehensive strength of vehicle companies, which puts forward higher requirements.

The independent electric vehicle brands incubated by traditional car companies have long recognized the importance of supply chain stability for enterprises and even the industry, taking Jihu as an example, so that car companies with strong funds have long been deeply involved in all aspects of the industrial chain, most of the cost pressure can be transferred out, or digested through internal synergy effects, and the remaining small part of the pressure can be resolved through a slight increase in car prices.

Insiders of a new car manufacturer told us that the price increase of its products is not determined entirely based on cost changes, but is determined by comprehensively weighing various factors. The pressure is not too much at all, but I don't dare to rise too much. Therefore, the price increase can only resolve part of the pressure, and the remaining pressure can only be resisted. Even if the price of upstream materials remains stable in the future, neither rising nor falling, enterprises will continue to face greater pressure.

In the current fiercely competitive market environment, manufacturers who do not have the ability to resist price changes in the supply chain should also be abandoned by consumers and sit back and watch competitors get sales and occupy the market.

Nowadays, the new forces of the head have all "landed" and broken through the first half of the car-making industry. Entering the second half, what awaits them will be the competition of "real knives and real guns", and the production and manufacturing process and management ability of the "new four modernizations" of the decisive victory car will become the top priority.
