To meet the individualization, Bugatti opens the original factory customization

The Bugatti Chiron is already an extremely rare supercar, with modest production of new cars, with only 500 expected in a few years. Super Sport and Pur Sport versions are rarer, but for those who want to actually buy it, Bugatti's Sur Mesure customization program may be better for you.

To showcase the scheme, Bugatti shared photos of two custom-made versions of chiron, which, in terms of exterior, featured special paint colours and some contrasting stitching on the inside, which Bugatti called the exterior treatment Vague de Lumiére, each taking five weeks to complete, combined with a hand-drawn design.

More dynamic of the two is the Chiron Super Sport, which features a light blue undertone with orange stripes and wheels. The official color names are California Blue and Arancia Mira, and the design is very complex. Stripes cover each body panel, and the shape and thickness of the entire body varies. At the request of the buyer, the No. 38 grille was also painted with orange Arancia Mira, a color that was popular throughout the custom interior.

The second Chiron Pur Sport also has stripes, but a more subtle look. Its exterior is a mix of blue and exposed blue carbon fiber, covered with Nocture stripes. The Bugatti blue lettering takes center on the tail wing, and the red, white and blue French flag offers some extra color on the spoiler end panel. The number 9 painted with French racing blue adds a lot of color to the grille, while inside, more French racing blue and black are used for the interior.

For two Chirons, creating these designs was very complicated. The design is first conceived in a 2D format and then applied to the 3D surface of the car. All stripes are hand-painted in multiple layers, adding depth to the overall finish. With the completion of the detail work, the vehicle is coated with multiple layers of clear coating. Bugatti treated Veyron similarly back in 2011, creating a car called grand Sport L'Or Blanc.

Christophe Piochon, President of Bugatti, said: "The 'Vague de Lumiére' paint applied to both supercars embodies bugats' basic philosophy. Craftsmanship, innovation and tradition. We're always working to improve the customer experience in Bugatti and I'm really excited to be able to work with the Sur Mesure team to witness the experience our customers have to offer."
