The car has been delivered 60 times worldwide, and Bugatti said that after the regular version of the Chiron model has driven 4,000 kilometers or the ChironPur Sports has driven 3,000 kilometers (or 1.5 years), the tire may crack, and Bugatti warned that the owner of the tire has reached 4,000 kilometers or 1.5 years should not continue to drive until the tire is replaced.
According to NHTSA documents, Bugatti discovered the problem during an inspection of its Pur Sports prototype last September and, after consulting Michelin, identified the batch of the tires in question and, therefore, partially affected Chiron models. Bugatti will contact every owner affected by the recall and replace them with new tires free of charge, the document said.
